I am driving to Arizona. It will be about a 5 day road trip and I am afraid being in the car will be traumatizing for the bird. Also, what about hotel rooms? Do I have to stay in a hotel that allows pets? Has anyone taken their bird on a road trip?

We got a quaker from my husbands brother and its bonded with him real well, but not so good for my daughter and I. Well, now at least he will come and sit on me but none of us can pet his head. I'm getting tired of getting bitten, and he bites hard! Hes about 4 or 5 years old and don't seem to have been handeled much.

Is there any way we can get him to let us pet him?

as above to the point of bleeding. vet has given multiple drugs and is costing a forture. but nothing is helping my staff. she`s even been nibbling between her pads today making it bleed.she was scratching her head and neck to point of bleeding so we changed diet to an expensive hypoallergenic formula.which seemed to work for 2 or 3 weeks. but the simptomes are coming back.. she is a very well kept girl. so its not stress from being beaten or anything. she comes everywhere with me.. think its stressing her because tonight shes grinding her teeth. i`ll be back in the vets with her first thing on monday but starting to feel they just see this as an open cheque book. thanks peeps

Why does he always squat down on his perch squak, and barely lift his wings? I heard all hand raised parrots do this and why? Everyone always asks and I don't have a reason to give. He is really cute and funny when he does it and his eyes bug out. He always also has to pick at the skin on his feet when he is being petted, this is weird also. Anyone know why?

I'm raising turkeys for FFA and only have about a month left. Most of the other turkeys being raised are bigger than mine. My Ag teacher suggested grease. What about vegetable oil? I know you can use it for horses, but what about turkeys? Anybody got a clue?

My African grey parrot just started digging and tossing her food around about a month ago and no matter what we feed her she does it. Watching her it is like she is digging or nesting? Any suggestions?
