It usually takes most chickens 6 or 7 months to start laying eggs. You need to be feeding then laying pellets and providing them with a calcium source like oyster shells and water.
Chickens like to lay in high, dark places that are out of the way of predators.
They may start with very very small or soft shelled eggs. Be patient.
Good luck

Have they laid eggs in the past? If not they may be too young. They won't start laying until about 7 months old. If they have laid in the past it is possibly because the days are shorter. Give them a light for a few hours at night.

During the summer all they need is laying mash, during the winter they need laying mash and more light. They don't need a rooster to lay eggs.

Start giving them laying mash. They will need a boost in protein to start producing eggs, if they are old enough to start laying.

I think you need a Rooster around in order for them lay eggs. The Rooster doesn't have to mate with them, just his presence makes them lay unfertilized eggs.

Danna C.
Get a rooster!
That will help a whole heck of a lot.
Chulita has a point as well but she's a little more blunt about it. Take no offense as that is what they are called.
