My sister has a budgie called Billy and he is a vicious llittle bugger. I have tried to love him but he still acts like he hates my guts.
I even sent him a Christmas card, but I got nothing back......should I turn my back on him or give him another chance?

If you pluck them well and don't overcook them, budgies make an unusual starter or snack.

Maybe hes lonely. I have two budgies though, Elvis and Joe and by getting Joe (who hates me) to hop on my finger as the only way out of his cage for a fly everyday seems to work.

I have a lovely budgerigar (word in full for the previous person who didn't understand budgie).
Very tame, loves eating our food, talks, and is very friendly.
But he didn't send us a Christmas card either, so maybe it's just a budgie thing, they don't do cards. Don't take it personally.

You can win over any bird. It just takes time and patience. Offer him a treat every time you approach him. With repetition, the bird will slowly learn to trust you and I'm sure will send you a Christmas card next year.

It sounds like you've done all you can to make friends with Billy. Sorry, birds set their mind on who to like and who not to like - there's not much you can do about it but keep being nice and hope he comes around.

if you spend LOTS of time with him he MIGHT lightin up a little to you. Don't expect him to let you scratch him cause that is VERY unlikely.

Turn your back on him!!! He will soon change his mind about you when your sister goes on holiday and she wants you to look after him.

sounds like Billy isn't used to u or i don't know mine are the same way they are only nice to me every one else they are afraid of or attack.
