Does anyone else have a talking Boxer out there? I dont mean literally they talk but, my boxer puppy has the unique noises that he makes when he wants attention. I cant explain them....well I guess I can. Its more of an exaggerated whine like he is trying to say something lol. It is so funny.

When you give your dog an old ragged shirt that you've been wearing for 12 hours, what does it mean when he sniffs it, gets hyper and plays with it, throwing it in the air, cuddles with it and starts chewing on it and runs to you expecting a treat...what does that mean?

Sorry in a 'stupid question' mood lolz.

I'm thinking of getting him a Chia Pet that grows grass for Christmas, because I know he loves to eat grass during the summer and it's healthy for his digestion. Is the grass from those chia-pet-type things (the ones specifically with GRASS seed) safe for him?

My dog won't stop peeing and pooping in his crate or the house!?
Our male dog is now a year old (this week) and still having accidents in the house and his crate
This dog was crate trained same way as our 2yo female dog. who was successfully potty trained, broken of all destructive behavior, and permanently out of her crate by a 1yo. Our routine has included reward/praise for going outside, taken out on a schedule, fed at the same times, cleaning soiled bedding, etc...
He absolutely knows that he is supposed to go potty outside but he still won't hold it. He routinely holds it for 8+ hours in evening when out and in our company. But for 8 hours in his crate while we're at work, he won't.
We figured he hated the crate so we tried leaving him out and then gating into a puppy safe area. But, he always escapes and poops/pees in the house or chews, pulls things down off surfaces, etc.
He is truly the most wonderfully behaved and sweet dog, but we can't take the mess every day anymore. We're

We have a 9 yr old lab mix and an 11 wk old Australian Shepherd. We've been looking for a better food to feed them since we've been feeding IVet (vet recommended, what a joke) and both dogs are scratching, itching. So we've narrowed it down to Canidae All Life Stages or Chicken Soup (we'de buy the Adult and Puppy if we choose CS).

Does anyone have opinions/experience with these foods? Which do you think would be best? I've overloaded myself with info on both foods and they both seem great and fall within the price range we can spend; but if we choose the Canidae we would have the benefit of only having to buy one food for both dogs.

Help me end this madness of trying to decide! :-)

I have a male and a female. I know a male and a male would like to fight and so would a female and a female.

Could I train the new dog not to fight with the same sex as it.

They get feed once to twice a day, the tank has a pump/filter system and as far as I have been told the tank is certainly big enough for at least the two of them. The water level was 3/4 full so it needed to jump quite high to get out. Will the other one stress now, I will be going out tomorrow to get another one to replace it, but don't know whether it will stress the original one out. We clean the tank out once a week, and it was only yesterday morning that I gave the tank a complete clean out for which I added the appropriate water conditioner and clorine treatment....my son was devestated as he has looked after them so well since getting them. Can anyone help please??

I'm sure ir varies by indivdual dog, but in general what breed is the smartest? I plan on training the dog to be a concert pianist (and possibly conduct) and also a tattoo artist so creativity is also important. I plan on calling the dog Woodrow.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I wet my dog with the hose the other day as it was really hot, as soon as i let him go he started to walk funny, like he couldn't use his back legs. But as soon as he was dry he was like nothing had happened. Can you tell me what happened and what the cause is and if its serious.

Thanks for your help

I currently have a thirty gallon tank set up with two green spotted puffers and five bettas, but am getting three pairs of german rams and would like to lower the pH to a nice 7.0-7.2 (it's probably at 7.8-8.0 now).
I was wondering what product would be best to use and how to go about doing it so as not to shock my current fish?

thanks!

With all the pet food recalls I've switched to a homemade diet for my 5 month old chihuahua. I'm not exactly sure what would be a balanced diet for her. In the morning I feed her a scrambled egg, shredded cheese, and a small amount of bacon. Then for lunch I feed her a soup of chopped carrots, peas, corn, and chicken broth. At dinner I feed her ground beef and brown rice with cooked vegetables. For snacks/treats I feed her a little peanut butter, oatmeal, and Cheerio mix or plain yogurt with granola(no raisins) Is there anything I need to add or take away from her diet?
