my beautiful little cat got run over a year and a half ago, it left her with nerve damage which means she can't control when she wees. I've coped as best i can but it's ruling my life. I'm a student and have had to rent an expensive flat just for me which i can't really afford, instead of living in a shared house (obviously I can't impose her on anyone else) My electricity bills are huge due to the constant washing I have to do, i can't go anywhere for more than a couple of days as I can't get anyone to look after her, it even contributed to the breakup of my engagement as my fiance couldn't deal with living with cat wee.i really love her and feel horribly guilty even thinking about giving her up but i just can't cope any more. i would never give her to one of those rescue centres whre they keep them in cages, but does anyone have any other suggestions? many thanks

i've tried bleach deluded with water
then i tried baking soda with water.

i can still see the spot where he pooped on my floor.

i love him to death but he's ruining the floor, what do i do?!

also, he likes to climb in my bathtub and poop in there too, so it's not very inviting when i want to take a shower obviously... we finally got him to stop crapping on the carpet, though.
anything would help at this point.

My husband threw the cage into the garden in a rage and one flew away. It is freezing outside. Will he die of the cold or will he get attacked first? I feel so terrible for him.

This is very strang he is about an inch or an inch and a half long. I have no clue what the problem is, maybe he has an air bubble in his shell. He tries to swim down and can't. If anyone knows what is going on or how it could be fixed that would be great.

I just lost my three year old betta fish and I am planning to get a new one. I had him in a one an a half gallon bowl, with a small heater, marbles at the bottom, a small plant, and a snail. I was thinking of adding a filter to make my next betta's existance a little more comfortable. Here are the products I have been considering. Any suggestions or oppinions would be greatly oppreciated.

One of my kitties has a problem with her eye that never seems to clear up. She has been on a steroid eye drop and now is on another steroid eye drop and an eye antibiotic. Given that I had many health problems with steroids and lost a kitten likely due to a bleeding ulcer caused by steroid tablets, I'm understandably concerned. Current kitty does not take steroid tablets, these are just eye drops. She is 1 year 1 month old.

I've already put them together and they seem fine. I was told that beta can live with other fish as long as they don't look similar to a beta. These fish are half the size of the beta and usually hang around the bottom, lately they have become active swimming around and jetting to the top for air.

Also, any advice on food? Right now they just get the leftovers from the beta food and stuff that collects on the bottom. Should I put any veggies in there for them? Will that make my beta sick?

Thanks!!!

Have just adopted two 8/9 week old kittens from a rescue centre. We administered a spot on worm and flea treatment (the type you put on the back of the neck) 3 days ago. One of them had all the classic symptoms of worm infestation, lack of appetite, diahorrea, vomitting, dry fur and lethargy. The other one wasn't too bad. My problem is that the badly affected one doesn't seem to have improved very much, except thankfully his appetite is picking up, He vomitted today for the 1st time since the treatment and there were still live roundworms in it. I am worried because I can't give him a repeat dose for about 2 weeks. My question is: (at last)! How long does it take for these treatments to kill off the horrible parasites?

I have a Border Collie / Lab mix dog. Fleas have been bad all summer, but all my dogs had flea issues. My one girl has scratched her ears so bad that there's no hair left, and the legs...joint..elbow type region is just the same. What is this and what can i do? I've sprayed and powdered all the dogs, and my little beagle mix has no problems like the big dogs. This isn't "Mange" , is it? How do i deal with that if so? Last year my shepard had what the vet called "Flea Born Dermatitus" - basically alergic reactions to fleas, but this is different, and i don't have the money this time for a vet visit. Any ideas? No guesses please.

I'm really into getting a corn snake or a ball python. I have read lots of articles about both and can provide the environment they need. I have never had a snake before so if anyone has any tips on snake care or tricks on handling a snake that would be a big help!

I want to see how people answer this. This is for people that breed or think that they want to. When you are breeding a male and a female, how are you doing it? Are you just putting them together and seeing what happens?, ect...

Sorry, slightly tortured grammar. So if your cat became a "cat who lunched" or something and the conversation came around to their humans, how would your cat describe you?

Sophie: I dunno, tall.
Poppy: Warm armpits. Moves too much though. She's a bed hog.
Sophie: I don't know about that, but she looks pretty darned good to me when she's in the kitchen! Really, she's just an ambulatory can opener. She serves no other purpose that I can see.
Poppy: You're right Sophie! I didn't think of that.

We have a few outside dogs including two old beagles. They have been together since they were about 3 months old. They are male and female (fixed) and are like an old married couple, grump and ggrrr at each other, but play together and sleep side by side in the same house. In years past for Winter my husband has insisted we put a rug or blanket over their door, to prevent wind from blowing right in their house and cedar bedding in the house. I have no problem with the rug over the doorway, but the cedar chips turn out to be just gross. What they don't flip out into the pen ends up kind of crusted to the house floor and in the house's corners and requires a very good scrubbing in the Spring and guess who does the scrubbing? Not my husband. I just wondered if the chips really do any good? or are they even good for the dogs?
