He looks ( and acts ) like a poodle to me. He has very bad tear stains. I found him wandering around and was very matted (i obviously didnt do a good job shaving himlol). I was supposed to get him neutered 2 weeks ago but my vet had an accident so i have not been able to get his opinion.

In my opinion he looks like a mini poodle, he is about 11 inches tall and weighs 9 or10 pounds.

I usually use Frontline Plus on my 65-lb lab, but my local store is out of stock on this, so I used Hartz 3-in-1 this time. As per the instructions, I applied a straight line from the shoulder blade area down to the beginning of her tail. I used the whole tube. It has been just over two days, and her back still has the oily streak. Do you think the medication has already evenly distributed, and I can wipe her down?

OK well I was looking in my guppy tabk becuase one of my guppies had fry and I noticed this weird looking creature that is living in my fish tank.I have no idea what it is it kinda looks like one of those like lobster or whatever I dont know how to explain it but I have never bought anything like this and i have no clue what to do with it.I have it is a lil container and I dont know if it is safe for my tank or what.I saw it and I knew I must get on here and ask ppl about this...what is this??? It is like brown and see thru kinda...I wish my camera took better pics Id put a pic up..Ne ways ya plz help me with this!!

I've been reading through my answers and I was noticing that a specific person kept adding a site to their answer! I was thinking .. WOW! This must be some site to be the source of allof these answers! So, I checked it out .. and they sell designer dog clothes and toys! Specifically, I meant to ask how long can it stay in its crate without going to the bathroom at night. I wake up at around 6 am and I put her to sleep at like 9. Should I take her out to the bathroom in the middle of the night or should I put her to sleep later?

he is not necessarily mine. he's my boyfriend's and his brother's... but since they still live with their mother, jay lives outdoors. i know how to take care of dogs, trust me, i work with dogs and i lived with dogs all my live. i'm just looking for other's opinion..
Jay always seeems to look skinny.. My boyfriend free feeds him, so I suggested we start putting him on a breakfast and dinner only schedule and removing the untouched after an hour or two.
i'm thinking he has worms.. only becase he just seems to always look skinny. which if he does, i will definately get him on dewormers.. but i'm wondering if some pit owners.. that don't use their pit for aggresive show or what not.. just have the pit for love... if it may just be the built of him.

My next-door neighbor has me dog sit their maltese-poodle mix, who turns a year old this week. I've taken him for walks and had perfect STRANGERS come up to me and yell at me because he hasn't been GROOMED in months! I've offered to pay for the grooming myself, tried to explain that the dog will be happier, gotten a dog expert to come and talk to them, etc.--all to no avail.

This is it! They are away in LA at a wedding. I am taking the dog to a groomer tomorrow morning and having him done. Nothing drastic--just thin the hair, trim out the toes and the butt, cut the nails and get the hair out of his eyes.

Do you think they'll notice? Do you think they'll send me to jail? How will I explain this?

Hi i have a pregnant dog she will be 62 days pregnant tomorrow, her temperature is 97.9 and is very tired, i took her on a walk today to help her out with delivery but when i came homr from school today she started whining for like 2 mins but stopped so im confused whether or not she is in labor or not? any idea if she is? again, her temp is 97.9, and please no rude comment no one told you to look on here in the first place. We will be getting her spayed after her pups are gone.

payed before me and left. when i got outside she was litterelly waiting in her car and rolled the window down so i could see her dog. now i know she was expecting a positive comment and i gave her one but this dog was soooooooooooo ugly. i told her she was a beauty.
would you do the same thing and be nice even though it was ugly?? i've never had someone just waiting on me so i could see their dog. lol. not outside a grocery store anyway! ha ha.

We got a puppy at I think 8 weeks old. She has grown well, had very vet visits, shots, etc. Everything is well with her...she's a healthy chow/labrador/something else. She's now about 11 months old. But a few of her teeth look like they have not come in all the way, and she still bites on a lot of things and has what many people describe as "the maddies". Ugh. The vet said the teeth would be in around 9 to 10 months. She's almost a year old. What gives with the lateness of the teeth coming in all the way? They look maybe halfway or a little more, and it just doesn't look like they are in as much as they should be, when compared to nearby teeth.

would you hand feed her, and for how long before you took her to the vet? And, at what point (after finding nothing wrong with the pet) would you let the veterinarian continue to give her tests? At $600, at $700, at $800? And then what would you do with your pet?

I have a boxer/pitt bull mix and for some reason eveytime our Chihuahua has pup and weans them she starts nursing them, she gets milk but never has been pregnant herself. My roommate's 3 cats all have dandruff, one espeically is pretty bad. they don't scratch..and they're indoor kitties. no fleas, i checked...i brush them, but it still doesn't seem to help. is there a home remedy i can do to help them with this?

Ok I came home tonight and found that my dog ate a whole package of hershey's kisses with the metal wrappers. There were about fifty in the package. I'm really worried about him since he ate all the metal along with the chocolate. Should I take him to the vet? My dog is a very large sheltie btw.

Do people like this really exist and own horses and how have they not been killed?

I honestly try to not thumbs down, but sometimes.......

I read some answers today from people that are so uninformed and off the mark and wonder, does the poster even realize how wrong it is?

I try to not hate email, but have resorted once to some kiddo that posted she was a vet and gave the most horrible advice to people that would actually harm an animal. I haven't seen this gem since .

You guys probably have more tolerance than I do for dumb people, I get paid to work with dumb people at my job allll day long and then after hours when I get my 2 am jerry springer delights on call. Had a couple of those already tonight, so I'm in the ripe mood lol, but wanted to see others opinions and reactions on the boards that DO know what they are talking about when THEY post :)

We just got an 8 week old puppy yesterday and he is a pomapoo/cockapoo mix he weighs about 2.4 lbs. Whenever we leave we put him either in the bathroom or another room but he cries and screams very very VERY loudly, loud enough that we can hear him outside the door to the apartment so i know others around us can hear him. Any suggestions as to what we could do to help sooth him?? We are going to start putting him in a crate when we leave during the day.

we just gave him k9 advantix earlier today b/c he had bad fleas and he has been doing totally fine until a few minutes ago he threw up and had a little bit of watery diahrrea...we just got him yesterday and he has had his first puppy shots and hes 8 weeks old. Well my husband and I got a fish the other day at petsmart. It is our 3rd daying having our fish.. and I changed the water today and I have been feeding the lil guy everday... but it keeps sinking to the bottom and looking limp and just stay in the same spot.. then i will tap on the glass and then he will wiggle around and stuff then a few mins later he floats up to the top and looks limp as if he dead... why does it keep doing that?? Does it mean its a sign that it gonna die? Or does he just like to play dead a lot?

my uncle thinks he has a mental disorder but I dont think he does...
He always goes inside and my uncle has tried puting his snout in the pee and poop(were he smells it ) and putting him outside and sternly telling him no. Hes not a puppy hes about 4 yrs hes a westie.
He hates it outside and when we do put him outside(we have a fenced in backyard) he barks and barks to come in and he poops on the deck outside... I dont know what esle to do...?
