I recently was watching Animal Precinct or something similar on Animal Planet and the ASPCA was given a call that there had been a puppy that was hit by a car. When they got there, there was a man trying to bandage her leg, which was the only thing that was hit. They talked with him a bit, and the man said that he was the puppy's owner couldn't pay for the vet bills anymore. The ASPCA did the right thing by taking the puppy out of his custody, but the man was heartbroken. He hesitated, but knew it was best for his puppy. The allowed him to say goodbye, and he put her in the van, he was tearing a bit and the puppy very was affectionate toward the man and licked his face goodbye. After the cage door was shut and the van door was about to close, he says, "Don't forget, I love you." And he slowly walked away and watched the van drive away. This made me cry so hard. Any thoughts on this?
