Do a search on the internet and you'll see. Very disturbing you would use their products despite the fact you've obviously heard bad things about them.

Well, lucky you. But you're one person. ONE, out of billions!! Hardly a useful sample to determine the safety of Hartz.

It isn't just Hartz, it's many pet store flea products. They tend to contain organophosphates, which are usually used for crop spraying and are hugely inappropriate for application to animals, particularly cats.

Im actually in England where I don't think you can get Hartz - but our equivalent is Bob Martin. I've only been in veterinary 4 years, but I've already seen 3 die from this stuff, and more have awful reactions.

Glad you haven't had a problem, but many people have - please DON'T recommend this stuff to others, it isn't worth the risk. You may not have seen the problems these sort of things can cause, but I have.

I would think the shampoos are ok, maybe a little too drying but then again, alot of them are. The flea collars and topical flea treatments definitely can be toxic and therefore Hartz ended up getting a bad name!

Obviously a lot of people have had a problem with the product and their cats reaction to it. But not all.
