I've been reading through my answers and I was noticing that a specific person kept adding a site to their answer! I was thinking .. WOW! This must be some site to be the source of allof these answers! So, I checked it out .. and they sell designer dog clothes and toys! I don't want to say the name of the person just in case advertisement is allowed.

What do you think?

Husky Lover, I'm glad that you know who I'm talking about! Do you think it's safe to give out the name so everyone can report him. He also gave this site to a "Dog pregnancy" question.

Okay, the link has absolutely nothing to do with the answer because it's selling stuff! I was very upset! Thanks, everyone! Well, report them again for me! It's really annoying!

Ok, I'm very fed up! I've looked through all of his answers and it's on every single one and on some it's like --

Question: How do you like India?

His answer: I'm not sure, but check out this site to find out!

It's "BIBA I " I'm not sure if it's a cap. "I" or a lowercase L. Lol.

DogAddict -- Yes, my avatar hair changes alot! I'm naturally blonde, but these avatars are fun! :)

Yahoo! Answers is a place to gain knowledge, not customers, page views, or dates. If you have years of experience in something, have a special hobby, own your own business, or if you are a knowledge partner, it's OK to accompany a good, on-topic answer with a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information. However, it is not OK to post links that are unrelated to the topic or are clearly meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain. Also prohibited are solicitations like "Will you add me as a contact?" or propositioning people

Nope, advertising is not allowed. It's ok to post a link to a site that pertains to a question, but not ok to just add a link to a site for the purpose of sales. I say, report that person.

Also, do the rest of us a favor and name the person you're referring to (since I don't know who you mean!) and I will be happy to report that person, too!

No to advertise is not allowed, though that does not mean jerks won't try to...it's in the clause you read before you join YA! If you see that jerk again report him and quick and give him the heave ho we don't need this place to be a den of robbers...just answers...and well questions too. If you care not to report them send me the links where to find them and whamoo he's outta-here!

I've seen it quite a bit. And as others have said it's not allowed. I've seen one person recently posting a site with every answer. Not sure if he has any involement with the site, or if he is just passing it along. I prefer to only post links directly relating to the question.

Your hair keeps changing. You're keeping us on our toes.

Only if the questioner asks where to get/find something, and the answerer shows where to get it.
If the link has nothing at all to do with the person's question, then its spam.

A lot of people on here ask where to adopt a dog, and a lot of answerers say petfinder. I don't think thats spam, we're helping the person find a dog to adopt.
