I found a kitten yesterday and have decided to keep her.
She appears to be around 6 weeks old, so I bought dry kitten food for her. She doesn't seem to know how to eat the food, nor drink the water I put in a bowl for her.
How can I get her to eat? Am I feeding her the wrong thing?

I have a 9 month old Beagle. She already was in heat about 3 months ago. I just noticed that she was bleeding again already this morning. It wasn't much blood and it was very light in color. I am thinking its something other that heat? I plan on taking her to the vet but I cant get her in until this weekend. Is it something I should be worried about? I also noticed she has been likcing herself a lot the last few days but I didnt see blood until now.

I own a small 7 month APBT who's only about 35 lbs, but all APBT owners know how strong their dogs can be no matter their size. When we go on walks he gets a little excited and he pulls. It's not a crazy pull but it is aggravating when you're trying to go on a nice walk and he's pulling to go sniff this bush or to go try to pick up that stick.
Does anyone know of a good, durable no-pull safe harness (no choke collar) for him?

she has abcessed boobs that are huge and very painful. The vet says shes too old for anesthesia they said just to put her to sleep...but I feel as if the dog still has a few good years left in her. despite the problem, shes very playful still and happy, what i am wondering, is there possible a way the vet could maybe use sedatives instead of anesthesia to operate and remove these masses?

He has been to vet and we got told that he has too much gluten in his food causing the diarheoa. We changed him to a gluten free diet but that has still not worked. We have tried dulco ease and kaline and morphine as we were told, to hopefully help stop the diarehoa but that has still not worked. What the hell is wrong with my dog and what will help cure this terrible problem.
Many Thanks ppl !!

(plz only answer if you have an actual idea of what it is and what to do, thnks)

OKAY MY LITTLE TEACUP CHICHI DOG HAS HAD BAD BREATH SINCE I GOT HER (2 MONTHS AGO), AND NOW THAT IM STARTING TO BRING HER AROUND, WHEN PEOPLE GET CLOSE AND SHE GETS UP FOR A KISS, HER BREATH SMELLS LIKE SOMEONE HAD DIED IN THERE.

I was always aware of this but i didnt know what to do exactly. my mind always said "JUST BRUSH HER TEETH LIKE U WOULD NORMALLY". And that's what i did not too long ago, it smells better but once she goes back to eating her dog food it wont.

Im going to bring this up next time I go to the vet, it's not like she's going to die so i'll just do so then. But in the meantime...

-DO I CHANGE HER DIET?
-KNOW OF ANY TOYS/TREATS, ETC. FOR HER SIZE
-HOME REMEDIES?
-JUST KEEP BRUSHING HER TEETH?

ANY SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS ARE WELCOME

My friend has two cats, who are constantly urinating all over the baby's toys, room, etc. She has tried everything, but is running out of options and doesn't want to get rid of them. They haven't had litter box problems before the baby came (who is now 14 months), and she makes sure that they do get attention, but is at her wits end. Does anyone have any suggestions??

We all know that going to a dog park has it's risks, but this situation happened to me a couple of months ago and I'm just wondering what your take is on it.

I take my dog, a large border collie/greyhound mix (but mostly border collie in looks and demeanor) to the dog park on a regular basis. My dog is very intent on his ball and mostly ignores other dogs. He is not agressive in any way, and usually runs to me when threatened.

It's not a huge park but it is fenced in. There are several ladies in the neighbourhood who do pug rescue and at any given time there can be upwards of 15 pugs in the park at once. Some of whom can't walk or see well.

I was throwing the ball for him when a pug ran at him and started yapping, nipping and got underneath him. In the confusion my dog picked they other dog up by the scruff and threw him. The pug was fine but I felt awful. It looked really bad.

I feel my dog was just defending himself, but the size difference made it look worse.

Mine really like to eat it from the gravel paper I buy to line the cage but I have been told it is not good for them.... There is a lot of conflicting information and if anyone can clear this up for me I would greatly appreciated it.

Several people have seen a picture of my horse and asked me if it is gaited. I know it has something to do with the way they walk but I'm not sure of specifics. Could someone explain it?

I have been wanting a pet for some time now and I have found that a rat would be a perfect pet for me, but the only thing that bugs me is this; What will rats do for me? By this I mean will I have the rat for a very long time and the rat doesn't love me. What do they do as pets? Fall asleep on lap? Stay on shoulder? Play with me? Please respond the question is killing me.

My dogs have had bad fleas this year. Does anyone know of really good and effective flea collars? I have tried several brands and nothing works. I have given them flea baths once a week all summer and relief bathes every other day with just shampoo. This works but is not doing much to keep the fleas off. Strangely, my cats don't have a flea problem. Just the dogs. Any flea collar suggestions would be gratly appreciated.

One of the men who work in my office building came in about an hour ago to show me his brand new Golden-Doodle puppy. When he told me that the dog was a purebred doodle that cost him $1200 plus shipping from Ontario, I suddenly spewed forth everything I know about these mutts being marketed as designer dogs, and that reputable breeders do not breed mutts....I basically told him that the breeder screwed him and that he could have adopted a homeless doodle for less money, while saving a life. I was in no way rude....how can you be rude while playing with a 12 week old ball of fur....but I was pretty matter-of-fact.

He did not react well....I think I offended him, which was completely unintentional. Is there any way I can smooth this over?

If it was from flesa why just the rear end? I have the bio spot monthly treatment on her and I give her a flea bath monthly. She is not infested with fleas or anything I hardly see any at all. Just a few sometimes. Can someone help me with this and not just say She HAS FLEAS because that is not the case. And I know to call vet but I wanted your input too.. THanks to anyone who can help.

Our family just purchased a 38 gallon fish tank 14day ago.
We purchased the tank at a local pet store in a small town we live in. We had a tank established already but it was small (2 gallon). The pet store owner told us we could jump starts the new tank with the old one. Addition to that information he also told us we could put up to 25 fish in our new tank as soon a possible and sold us 25 fish in the 3days. Our big mistake we should have did our research before buying the fish (too many fish too fast). We lost 10 fish every few days since then.
The pet store owner replaced the First 3 fish no problem but the fourth and fifth fish, I took in a water sample for some help. He at that point refused to replace anymore fish told me I had new tank syndrome.
I Asked what I could do to help the fish survive he sold me a bacteria additive (very expensive) to add to the tank and that point told me he would not replace anymore fish. Put in the additive on the 4th day and I have no seen any change in the tank and I am still losing fish.
I need help please!!! Still losing 1 to 3 fish daily, my children and I are getting very upset not knowing what to really do. We never had a big tank before and just a Beta Fish.
