Maybe you are asking this question to see what type of responses you will get. I hope you are asking this question because you are very little, you have been deprived of the world, or you have had memory loss from a specific condition. Yes, animals sleep! Our brains, as well as the rest of our bodies (currently) do NOT function properly without sleep. Sleep is essential for our bodies' rejuvenate, growth, healing, and cognitive (thinking, brain, etc.) functioning. Animals and people share the fact that they have to sleep.

Absolutely not. I have never seen birds roosting or cats sleeping or dogs sleeping. And there certainly isn't a phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie." So common sense would of course dictate to disbelieve your eyes and everything you've read and heard.
What a stupid thing to say. Are you really THAT bored? Go do some work. At least pick up some trash off the side of the road. That, at least, would be useful.

Yes, all animals sleep. i used to think my rabbit never slept because i never saw her sleep but someone told me that rabbits wake easily and she may have been asleep but when I went near her she woke up. It could be the same with other animals too.

Of course they do! My little jack russell has been asleep beside me on the sofa for the last hour or so! Actually, about fifteen minutes ago, he pulled in his front paws ( he's on his side ) and started licking the piece of sheet under him as if he was feeding from his mum, his little tongue was all rolled up ha ha and he was making that sucking noise they do when they're attached to mum's teat. Oooh i could eat him he's so bloody lovely. Sometimes, when he's asleep and i'm watching him, his little front feet go back and forth as if he's running!

Are you serious? Everything needs to have rest so it can rejuvenate itself. Of course they sleep. If you have a large dog next door that barks all night, I'm sure you wonder if it ever sleeps. I've seen some dogs and cats that make you wonder if they ever stay awake.

Do PEOPLE sleep? Of course they do. Non-human animals are exactly the same way. Why would you ask such a silly question?
