My dogs have had bad fleas this year. Does anyone know of really good and effective flea collars? I have tried several brands and nothing works. I have given them flea baths once a week all summer and relief bathes every other day with just shampoo. This works but is not doing much to keep the fleas off. Strangely, my cats don't have a flea problem. Just the dogs. Any flea collar suggestions would be gratly appreciated.

Flea collars do not work - flea baths do not work.

The ONLY thing that works are topical flea preventatives like Frontline or Advantage, put on the back of the dog's neck - EVERY SINGLE MONTH.

That simple - just do that every month and your dog will not have fleas. If ticks are also an issue, get Advantix or Frontline Plus.

Same for the cats, by the way, but for cats, not topical for dogs.

I have 3 dogs and i live here in Florida where it's always hot.. Let me suggest you stay away from flea collars cuz none really work..Just get advantage at a local pet store and they will be fine and if cats do by any chance get them they should be fine due to advantage kills fleas even on your carpet.

flea collars for cats and dogs are a waste of money..get some stuff from your vet that will stop them dead l use a product called 'frontline' which is costly but excellent

flea collars dont work on their whole body,.. just their neck. so try that stuff you put on their neck, its like a liquid, cuz it helps the whole body.
