Yes, she's long overdue, your vet will tell you what you need, I don't want to say because different areas and different countries need different shots. Your vet is the expert, and will give you everything you need.
Thankyou for rescuing a dog, she will have a much better life with you than with her previous owners.

Yes, you should get her shots ASAP....they usually start as early as 5 or 6 weeks. She'll need a series of 4 shots 3-4 weeks in between each and a rabies shot at the end of this series. Your vet or shot clinic tech will know all this, but get her in ASAP and keep her away from dog parks or places where she may be exposed to diseases until she has all her shots.

Yeah. They can start getting shots at 8 weeks. Take her to the vet and they will hook you up. Ask about a "New Puppy Package." Most vets have one and it includes everything you puppy needs. All the puppy shots, testing for diseases and worms, etc. Saves you money, too!

Take your new puppy to the vet, and tell him you rescued her, and don't know if she's had ANY shots, and tell him you want to get her the shots she needs. THEN LISTEN as he tells you what needs to be done for her, and TAKE NOTES so you can 'write down' her 'shot and exam schedule' for the next several weeks. Also find out how much this will cost ... since she is a 'rescued' puppy, you may qualify for a 'discount' until she's 'up to snuff' and doing well.

I bought a voucher from my local Humane Society for a "Puppy pack" of shots. The cost was about half what the vet normally charges. You buy the voucher and use a vet that accepts the voucher.

Yes, she is old enough for her first shots. I can't remember exactly what the first shots are, but a quick call to your vet will solve that. They can also tell you how much it will cost nd when it's appropriate to get her fixed. Good luck with your puppy!!!

a puppy can get shots at six weeks of age... they usually get distemper parvo and carnovirus shots as well as a rabies shot too... these are done in series since puppies are younger than adults.. ask any vet clinic for prices for a 16 week old puppy prices do vary..

at 16 weeks she should have already had at least 2-3 sets of shots already.. plus her rabies.. so yes, take her to the vet. She needs the parvo/distemper combo and her rabies vaccine.
