My guinea pig munches on my hair. He always has plenty to eat. Maybe because my hair is light and looks like his hay, but either way he is messing up my do. Any tips?

I am going to step up a 55 gallon community tank. Which one:
1 bushynose pleco or 3 siamese algae eaters? Their diet will be supplemented:)
the other fish will be 6 cardinal tetras, 6 glowlight tetras, 6 corydoras panda, 6 dwarf neon rainbowfish (praecox), and 6 beckfords pencilfish in well planted tank.

I own two guinea pigs- one male, one female. I have supervised them when they are together to make sure they don't mate. However on occasion my sister has irresponsibly placed both guinea pigs in the same cage behind my back. Not many times but she has done it before. My female guinea pig, since the middle of May, has been noticeably fatter. She is in great shape though- I give her plenty of exercise and she is super fast. At first I thought she was just eating too much so I put her on a diet by cutting back on her pellets, but she hasn't lost weight, and recently it occured to me- could she be pregnant!? Because if she is, than I've been malnourshing her by putting her on a diet and she should be eating more, not less. I suppose I could take her to a vet to ask, but I just took my other one to the vet and it cost me a pretty penny- I was thinking there was maybe a cheaper way of finding out.

How many of us regulars have ever considered offering a free puppy-buyers education class?

How many of you new dog owners would have attended one if it had been available? Would a small fee for materials have been a problem for you if one had been available? (Like $5 for printed materials)

It is something I have wanted to offer for a long time, but never actually believed it would be popular.

We have 3 yo male toy poodle that is not neutered (to be bred - sorry he's akc and great lines) that has recently started marking his territory in the house.

3 months ago we got a new toy poodle little girl who is only about 4 months old now and he has no 'sexual' interest in her thankfully as she still little.

But is causing this marking all of a sudden?

He was at a family members home for a few days and we put a boy belt on him and he absolutely soiled it multiple times.

He has not sprayed like this before that I've noticed - as it is very yellow (high in protein?) and quite odorous.

Any advice?

I have a Betta fish, aka one of those chinese fighter fish, and I was wondering if it was ok to put him in poland spring water, from the bottle. I have not done anything to the water, and it is room temp. Is that ok, or does he need some pet store chemicals?

I have two turtles my daughter named them squirt and crash and they are both female. They sleep too much. About the whole day. Sometimes I think they are dead. They make no sudden movements. Then they wake up. And eat and then sleep. The place where i bought them was a man that was smoking next to them. Do u think that my turtles were sleepy becuz of that.

well you yesterday my sister went 2 walmart and bought purina dog chow and i heard it really wasnt that good of a brand so i wasnt pleased i wanted 2 buy my dogs nutro from pet co or pet smart cause i heard thats healthier but i waz thinking about buying the nutro this weekend, you see petsmart and petco is an hour away from where i live so when my dogs finish there dog food my sister buys a crappy brand from walmart cause its closer so what i wanna do is go this weekend and buy them nutro but would it be expired if i bought the nutro and waited 4 my dogs 2 finish the purina dog chow so i could give them the nutro that has been untouched 4 a month would it go bad??

Where the air tubing connects to an air pump (Dolphin Three-Star) the tubing turns a brownish-yellow over time (2-3 weeks). I have not seen this happen before. Is it likely to be air quality or the pump, or is this normal?

i had a small bichir in with 6 zebra danios and a baby zebra danio. i recently changed the fish food i was feeding my fish and my bichir attempted to eat one of my danios. the danio got away but its scales are sticking up and some are falling out. a few days ago i came home to a dead bichir with a dead danio stuck in its mouth. i read that bichirs wont eat fish that are bigger than their mouth, but in my case that wasnt true. and even if he was hungry, why didnt he eat the baby danio?

My dog has an aching leg and to make the pain go away my mother gave him half a tablet of advil. Now I'm worried because I've heard even a small dose can kill a dog. (My dog is a very small dog.) Is it ok for a dog to have advil. I'm very worried, I just finished yelling at my mother about how human medicine isn't ok and that she need prescribed dog medicine but she said "Noooooooo, it's only half a tablet!" Now what? If it is harmful what should I do?

I have a 10 gal. aquarium with 1 Betta, 3 Cory Catfish, and 5 Neon tetras. I just want to know if I can add any ghost shrimp or Rasboras. If not can I add any other fish? Thanks to all that answer. If you need to know anything else about the tank, just ask.

I just got another 10 gallon tank...I'm not rich.. already had the goldfish in one, with a light, but the light was warming up the water too much and making it unsafe for my goldfish... I've got some guppies in the other 10 gallon now, side by side... with the light on it. My goldfish hasn't seemed active at all since I took the lid off with the lights... He's sitting in the corners.. I've got some decor in his tank so he can hide too, so what's wrong?
