I just got a new aquarium, and I want to buy some new fish. I don't want to get some boring fish, and am still kinda new at it, so I was wondering if you guys knew of any pretty fish (that don't cost 50$!!!) that I could put in my tank? I really don't want to stick to the boring tetras, and there's no way I'm getting gold fish!!! Any ideas?

I found my dog, the one my previous question was about. I read one of the answers I got that I should walk out the door walk back in and see if he's come back out, and it gave me an idea. I walked out the door, rang the door bell and heard him bark. I kept ringing the door bell so I could figure out where the bark was coming from. He was in my fathers room. He must have gotten in there when I went into the bathroom to take a shower this morning. What is it about door bells that makes dogs go crazy?

Getting 2 Fell Terrier pups but work full time - any tips? I know the owners and the puppies parents are both outdoor dogs who they show in competitions. Both parents have a great temperament and have been kept outdoors since they were puppies also - there have not been any behavioural problems. Our pups will be kept outside during the day and will sleep in the house at night.

My partner and I work 9-5 but have plenty of quality time on evenings and weekends to take them out (we like long walks in the country), take them to puppy training and socialisation classes and have a very large garden where we intend to build a 'doggy house' and run where the dogs would be kept during the day. There is also the possibility that one or another of my siblings would be able to pop in during the day and spend a little time with them. I was just looking for advice really on what else I could be doing?

Thanks

I feed my black lab mix Chick Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul dog food. I feed her 3 cups a day of this food. That should be all I'd have to feed her since it's a good quality food 'n everything. But she's really skinny. I don't get it. I just caught her eating stool (ack!), I guess b/c she doesn't have enough to eat. But if I have to feed her 4-5 cups of this food, I might as well feed her a crappy, low quality one since, apparently, I'd have to feed her the same amount whther I get a low quality or high quality dog food. So, what gives? I thought you didn't need to feed a dog as much if they're on a high quality food. Btw, she's about 45 lbs. She should be about 50 to be at a decent weight.

I got a "talking" bird and that thing drove me nuts. First it was expensive, then it never talked, EVER! Cleaning the cage was so frustrating. Then it just made noise until I covered the cage. I was so happy to give it to my auntie, that still has it by the way.

What pet did you regret buying after you got it?

We don't want to get the shaft. . We have two rottweillers. The youngest one has fantastic bloodlines. The older one is pure bred but he does not have any "show" lines. The youngest one does. Now, I have had a few breeders to ask to breed him. Now what we want to know is how does the payment go. Okay, the oldest one, when we just bred him for pets for people, the owner with the ***** kept the puppies and sold them, then we split the profits. Now an associate of ours was going to breed, but the one that they were going to breed is pregnant right now. When I mentioned the price that one of the breeders told me that they would give us, they told us that it was way too low. They said that full bred show dogs fetch a much higher price, higher than dogs that are just pure bred. One wanted to keep our dog at their place while breeding took place. What exactly is the norm, and how do we make sure that we are getting the right payment?

They are not as vicious as people make them out to be. My dog is just over a year old and is the most playful, loyal dog i have ever owned.
