I've got two hamsters, both Syrian. When I first got them, I put them into one cage, after a while one became more dominant over living space and eventually they started to fight. I bought an extra cage and seperated them.

Now it's been about a year since I've had them, and for the past few weeks (maybe a month now), they both have picked up with chewing on their cages (one more than the other). Their caged are not the same size, one is larger than the other, upon certain reasons of fear and weight.

The one in the smaller cage (named Pocket), she chews on her cage consintly, I'm scared maybe it's too small for her, but she is a small hamster. I've tried many chew toys, she has a wheel and tubes to play in, her teeth are in fine shape and she gets heapings of food & water. She doesn't get out that often to run in her ball, but I've tried to get her out as much as I can.

Am I missing something? How can I get her to stop?!?

My husband and I are planning a vacation for the end of this year and will be gone about 5 days. My dog is a year and a half and has never been left without us. SHe's very attached to us, sleeps in the bed, barks and cries when we leave for work everyday. I've never used a kennel/boarding service or pet sitter. I've heard that boarding dogs can be traumatic but i'm also somewhat untrusting in letting someone come into my house. I'm also not comfortable with leaving my dog alone at night. What should i do? Any advice is appreciated!

I think it's the most pathetic thing i've ever seen! It's amazing how stupid some dog owners are and the things that they let their dogs get away with. How does that british lady not tell some of those stupid people off? It's a shame how stupid some dog owners are! a lot of their problems can be cured with just common sense!

I mean the worry for their health, going to the vets so very often and the heartache when they die. The fear of their dying.

An abused Lab mix (looks just like a Lab) was dumped at our house a few months back. We have gained his trust and fallen in love with him. He is such a good dog! The only problem I have is that we are rural and their are a lot of rabbits. I still walk him on a 26' retractable leash. He does great until he sees one and no commands will stop him. It is all I can do to hold him back on his lead. The vet said he is about 60 lbs but is very strong and has the strength of a 100 + lb dog.
I've researched this on line and have found that this is natural behavior for a lot of dogs and even highly trained ones seem to forget they are when faced w/ a rabit chase.

He doesn't chase cats- loves them. He's "adopted" the neighbor's kitten, even gives it a bath.

I've read about a toss game you and another person can play w/ a stuffed, AKC approved rabbit. Basically, you choose a command word and when the dog minds and returns to you, you give it a treat.

She load in perfectly, but once she is in there she paws and dances around. By the time we have driven 20 minutes to the trails she is already dripping with sweat. What can I do?

This poor dog has been through 3 different owners and has not been around little children. The parents let their son have what ever his heart desires. How can I convince these parents (without telling them they are idiots) that they are in for alot of trouble allowing him to keep the dog?
Bandit has already bit both the little boy and the little girl and from what the mother said her as well. We don't have the luxury of an ASPCA here in Hutchinson MN. Please help me Bandit's got such a sweet temperment with me but I can just see one or both of the kids getting their little faces ripped up because he is fluffy and the first thing kids tend to do with fluffy things is put them up to their faces

Ok, I had a previous question about the amount of dog food I was feeding my golden retriever, and almost everyone said he was obese. I don't know if they actually watched the video or not, but here is a better video that shows his side view of his body. Please tell me if he looks overweight, and to what extent.

Click here to see the movie (it is the featured video on my channel):

well this happened a few years ago and we are not friends anymore. she moved but that is not why. anyways she tried to put what looked like a dolls sweater on her kitten. he was mewing. i did not like seeing him mew. the poor thing was probably in pain when she was putting the sweater on him. i do not think animals are dolls that should be dressed up. it probably hurts there little arms a lot. whats your opinion on this.
