Ok, so I was thinking about my 2 betta fish last night. They're both in unfiltered 2 gallon tanks. I decided that (if it was possible) I'd like to start growing real plants in their tanks. They would probably enjoy it. So my question is just this. How exactly do you grow them? I know nothing about this subject, so I need some help! If you know any good sites about this, or you have a planted tank yourself, could you please share some information with me?

Thanks! =]

i have found out that they can be born deaf and that the cause is lack of pigment in the ear canal or inner ear, my question is - is this passed down to the pup from either of the parents ??

I'd like to leave something different once in a while as a treat to my feathered friends outside. Other than the common birdseed I put in the feeders, what do you think they would like? Anything in particular for particular birds? If so, what for who? Any people food that they would like that would be good for them?

We got a 9 week old kitten yesterday, named Cody, and I bought him some dry Kitten Chow. He has yet to eat or drink anything and he hasn't used the litter box. Do you think I should switch to the wet food?

I just got a new puppy home on Friday, mine and my wife's first. We are having potty trouble with him. He doesn't want to go on the paper in the house. He goes fine outside, and my wife and I throw him a small party each time he does outside. But we are not home some of the day, and want to teach him to use a wee wee pad. I'm from the old school, I'd shove his face in it to teach him, but from reasearch, I hear that's no good. He has a crate, but its not that big and I wouldn't want his coat to be sh!tty.
Please any suggesttions.....

I left my two cats with someone when I was homeless and had no money. I didn't want to take them to a shelter and this guy I left them with had agreed to take them in for some time. I trusted them with him because he had cats of his own and my babies were free to roam and prance around his house and I came to feed them everyday and to change litter.
Abruptly I had to leave the country almost overnight and I left the cats with him. Circumstances were really bad for a while and then two months later, I tried to get in touch with Carlo, the guy who had my cats. However, Carlo is MIA- I can't get hold of him on the cell # I had for him. I would like to know if he still has my babies or if he gave them away. I want to locate them and somehow bring them to me in Asia. Is there any way to recover cats from shelters once they're given away? If I do manage to locate my kitties, how can I bring them back, provided I cannot go and physically bring them on a plane myself?
