It is a moth, probably something in the family Gelechiidae. These are mostly a group of pest species, that include leaf miners, grain pests, and clothes moths. You could probably find out more by taking one to a university near you that has an entomologist on staff.

If these are a food pest, I'd start by looking for any grain/nut products that you may have in the house, including things like bird seed to try and find where they're breeding - look for the small white/tan caterpillars and cobwebby "silk" they leave behind. If you go to a home and garden stores, look for pantry moth traps - these are a glue trap to catch the adults: http://www.biconet.com/traps/ppt.html

It's a moth. We have them over here in San Antonio, too. They're attracted to light and fly around you, but they don't have mouth pieces to bite because most adult moths like that don't even eat.

No. they do no longer sense the sense like we people do. that's because of the fact we've a necessary apprehensive equipment working by our vertebra (backbone) which sends messages to our strategies. this means that if if our leg is harm, we sense the discomfort on the perfect strategies. on the different hand, the bugs are non-vertebra and that they've not got necessary apprehensive equipment. as a effect if an ant's leg is overwhelmed, in basic terms the leg will sense community discomfort. apart from, their discomfort significance is short, because they produce super sort of off springs and their life is short. they might additionally reproduce their lost organs. this is been pronounced that in case you chop back a cockroach's head, it is going to die after a month by using ravenous. Scientists have cut back a lobster's leg and feed him, which he ate. it is likewise real that with the exception of people no different animal is familiar with of its life.
