i dont have anything on my hands, and what are some signs of affection do rats show toward their owners? kind of like when a dog sits on their owner's lap, that sort of deal. and how can i get my rat to just chill out on my hand or lap. i hate just keeping her in the cage or in the rat ball, but she's a little too jumpy to just keep out.

Eagle Pack Holistic, Canidae (esp this one), Innova & Solid Gold

I can't seem to find a photo online other than the outside bags >_<

My chihuahua won't chew big stuff

The only hard foods she's eaten are meow mix and some dog food the lady we bought her from gave us that was about the size of cat food nuggets

we even have to cut up ceasers wet food for her
One food she never turns down, & chicken

she has bad teath
I brush them
and we get them cleaned professionally
(how often should I do this anyway?)

but she still has problems
the vet/s recommended dry food
and chewbones
so I'm trying to find a healthy dry food
(my last dog had horrible allergies and heart issues due to bad dog foods)
and I bought one of those flavored nylabones (is that healthy?) but she doesn't chew on it often at all

any ideas to help her teeth?

She paws at her mouth, chews on her legs (which I stop), and chews on the corners of her blanket or soft toys.

Also she has bad tarter.

I just arranged to get another female kitten, but my app 3 month old male kitten just sprayed for the 1st time. Should I get him fixed asap, or should i give him another month? I'm wondering if he'll spray more once the other kitten is around (she's about 8-10 weeks) if I wait. I'm also not sure if I should get him fixed before I even bring her in, or will that make any difference when they're both still young & not sexually mature? Thanks!

They are supposed to be an humane alternative for declawing? She is a strictly indoor cat and I would never consider declawing her, but I would like to save the furniture. I have gotten her a scratching post but she eems to prefer the couch and rug.

So you know, it kinda feels awkard to ask friends and relatives at times, and feels more comforting anyway to hire someone professional w/good references of course to watch our beloved pets while we go on a trip.
Have you hired a petsitter b4 for your peace of mind knowin' your beloved animal will be taken good care of, as well as your garden being watered daily, and someone bringing in your mail??
How much did they charge?

He is about 4 months old. Is this too young? Also, I don't think his testicles have dropped yet. Ho long until they will? or, I have been told that there could be additional fees for such a situation, anyone know HOW MUCH extra it might cost? I am calling the vet tomorrow and I can ask then, but I was just wondering...

I dewomed her when I found her (she was approximately 9 mos. old), and appeared to be cured; today I found a worm on her tail, close to her anus. She appears to be the picture of health! She has a shiny coat, perfect weight, active, etc.
I indend to take her to the vet tomorrow; but I want some info for my own benefit. HELP!

My family and I are looking into fostering, but we aren't sure what breeds to do. I think we have it narrowed down between a beagle and an Aussie (though, other suggestions would be great.) Heres some information on our living style:

There are two kids in the house; 12 and 14. We also have a dog, a 9 year old Cockapoo who gets along with any breed. =]
Momma goes to a summer college class (10 am - 3 pm) while daddy works from 4 am - noon. The teenage daughter (14) occassionally babysits but is only gone for 3 hours at a time. 12 year old son is usually home; so the dog wouldn't ever really be all alone. We've got a 3600 square foot house and a 1/8 acre backyard with a swimming pool and grass. There is also a 7 foot brick fence surrounding it. Because we live in Arizona, the heat is something to consider... especially since its summer. A dog that doesn't mind water would also help.

So; all this info. Which breed is for us?

Best Answer will be chosen on thoroughness. =] Thanks!

When i was younger i was an apprentice at a local horse stable in my town for five years. I had always loved horses and had a great passion for them. I bought and owned a horse for about three years until family propblems arose and she had to be sold. I was 17 then and seemed to care more about partying anyways so i let it go. Now the partying days are over i'm 22 and stuck in a dead end job i hate. I'm married but no kids thank god. I have a mortgage two cars and live in a suburban hell. I can't think of any way to refocus on the career i threw away. I have to have my job to paybills, but work leaves little time for any hobbies other then house work. I'm miserable and depressed all the time now and my heart aches to be with horses again. I'm at a loss and don't know what to do or how to cope. My ultimate dream would be to have my own stable or ranch and teach kids to ride and get involed with horses, but i can't think of anyway to get there. I need help... any suggestions?

I've had my Siamese Fighter for nearly a week, and for the first few days he was fine and pretty active (was feeding him on dry flakes). Over the weekend I've fed him on frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp (he's also had a tiny amount of crushed peas. He loved the peas and the worms (not the shrimp though). Now though - he's hiding all the time at the bottom/rear of the tank - what have I done wrong - what's happening to him. Please help, as I'm a total novice @ this. Thanks guys.

Ok so i just bought a really pretty (what they called) Marble Knife fish. It kinda looks i guess like a clown knife fish but it is all black. And has not been agressive towards anything. But i am not sure what to feed it. I currently put flakes, pellets, frozen krill, and frozen blood worms in my tank and i do not think he is eating.

Any one know there diet and what i should try or something??

My Eskimo Spitz gave birth last Sunday, to 9 puppies.. unfortunately she cant produce milk for them.We took her to the vet and they gave her a shot to bring down the milk but it didnt work..we have to feed them puppy formula. The cost is 4.97 and thats only 6 oz. they drink one carton a day, as they get bigger they drink more. The vet told me I need to continue feeding them til they are 5 to 6 weeks old. I am disabled and am having a hard time purchasing the formula. We are giving the puppies away after they are weaned to good homes only. If anyone has any puppy formula or can donate to help feed the puppies it would be greatly appreciated. If you'd like to see more pics let me know.
