Ok so i just bought a really pretty (what they called) Marble Knife fish. It kinda looks i guess like a clown knife fish but it is all black. And has not been agressive towards anything. But i am not sure what to feed it. I currently put flakes, pellets, frozen krill, and frozen blood worms in my tank and i do not think he is eating.

Any one know there diet and what i should try or something??

I never heard of a "marble" knife before, but it's not unusual for pet stores to make up new "common names" so people think they're getting something new. It could be a black ghost knife (peaceful) or the African knife (no so peaceful). The only knife I can think of that might be called "marbled" is the Carapo, and these are more zebra-striped.

One thing they all have in common is that there's sensitive to light and are more active at night, so you may not see him eating if you feed too early in the day. Plus, if he's new, he may still be adjusting to the tank. Bloodworms should be eaten by any of the species, so I'd continue to offer those, just do it late in the day, and maybe try turning off the lights first. None of them would really be interested in flakes, probably not the pellets either.

Try an image search on the species I've named (also in the link below) to get some photos to compare with your fish - once you know which you have, you'll have a better idea on its care/feeding.

You should be getting the perfect type of flakes for it that say Marble Knife Fish Flakes but if it still dosen't eat, try going to the vet to go see whats wrong. Good-Luck:]

The frozen meaty foods are perfect. It may or may not eat the flakes, but it will love the bloodworms and krill, that is really all it will need...

I'm guessing hes still getting used to the new tank and im certain they will eat all of the food you just mentioned.

and this a nice fish but keeping them alive is in the moderate to hard side.
