My Eskimo Spitz gave birth last Sunday, to 9 puppies.. unfortunately she cant produce milk for them.We took her to the vet and they gave her a shot to bring down the milk but it didnt work..we have to feed them puppy formula. The cost is 4.97 and thats only 6 oz. they drink one carton a day, as they get bigger they drink more. The vet told me I need to continue feeding them til they are 5 to 6 weeks old. I am disabled and am having a hard time purchasing the formula. We are giving the puppies away after they are weaned to good homes only. If anyone has any puppy formula or can donate to help feed the puppies it would be greatly appreciated. If you'd like to see more pics let me know.

Here is a formula you can make yourself.
1 cup whole milk (cow or goat)
1 pinch table grade salt
3 egg yolks - no whites
1 tablespoon corn oil
1/4 teaspoon liquid vitamins

I fed 5 Rotts with this from day 1 and they survived and are nice big pups now. You need to feed them every few hours. Try to get 4-8 cc in them now and work it up to 10. Also, be sure to give them some water during the day. It's a lot of work but worth it Good luck.

Well, I actually live in Danville. My Aunt has a mail box at the U-haul place. As you can see, it says #544 which is the box number. Also, I don't know why it would, "seem fishy" she said she would accept puppy formula instead of money. Anyway, I would be glad to help Dianne, I can only get maybe 3 boxes of the formula but I can help out alittle, you can email me and I will give u my number and we can talk,

I'm sorry that this has happened.

Contact the American Eskimo Rescue groups to see if they can put you in touch with someone who has a nursing female, or who is willing to hand-raise a puppy or two.

The website is:
http://www.eskiedog.org/

Actually, any medium or large dog who is nursing puppies should be able to take on a puppy or two.

And, as everyone else has suggested, get her spayed as soon as possible! Many pet charities will be able to help you with this, if funds are short.

Hope this helps,
Good luck!

Sorry I can't help but if I lived closer I would. Have you tried putting an ad in the paper for a foster mother for the pups especially if there is a dog who has had a false pregnancy this would solve a lot of problems

Nobody is going to send money to a total stranger, I feel sorry for the puppies though so you should ask the SPCA or vet to help you. They may have a foster mom that can nurse them till they are weaned. Good luck.

No offense but no one will send anything. You may end up with a stalker though. I advise that you take your name and addy down immediately. Take the dogs to the local shelter and let them try to rehome yet more dogs.

Take the whole lot of them, mum and pups to an animal shelter and ask them to raise the babies to the level where they can be re-homed, and then return the mother to you.

Then take your b i t c h to the vet and have her speyed.

Why were you breeding from her anyway? Are you an experienced breeder?

Will you be getting the mother spayed? This is something that any person breeding a dog should anticipate and have the money for. Spay the mom and don't get yourself into this situation again. I am sorry that this has happened, but a responsible owner would have been prepared for something to go wrong.

Oh Gosh, I do wish I could because I know what it's like to have a dog that has just given birth. I can't though.

P.S. Probably no the best thing to out your name and address on the net for all to see. Just a thought.

Sorry, but best of luck to you.
