Yes they can all live by themselves.

Understand just because fish are shooling fish doesn't mean they cannot be happy by themselves. Fish will school for protection and feeding. In a tank that isn't a problem. They will be fine.

Each is capable of living by themselves, but I'd have to agree with pyro - these aren't fish that should be kept together. Here's why:

As Pyro pointed out, the damsels (other than green chromis) are aggressive fish. I've had customers tell me that when they were first starting a saltwater tank, they were advised to use damsels to cycle their tank because they were cheap and hardy. Well, they are that, but they're also very treitorrial and aggressive - to the point that they killed any fish that were added after them, including lionfish (venomous) and smaller moray eels. A $5 fish that kills your $50 fish is no bargain.

The Catalina may survive in the temperature the other fish need, but they won't thrive - they come from areas with cooler water.

I haven't had much trouble with royal grammas and other fish - they are one of the better members of the basslets to keep. I think they get an unfair reputation because they're often called bicolor pseudochromis, and members of the pseudochromis family tend to be little terrors for their size.

There may be a potential problem between the grama and the clown goby because of their similar color. A general rule because to the territoriality of saltwater fish is to not mix members of the same family, same shape, or same coloration - this reduces the chance of one fish seeing another in the tank as a potential rival. That would also be an arguement for not mixing the Catalina and clown cobies in the same tank. In general, unless you have a confirmed mated pair or one of the few schooling saltwater species available, it's actually better to plan to only keep one of each type.

If you're looking to get just one for a nano tank, any but the damsel would be fine as an "only fish", but again, because of the temperature a Catalina needs, it would limit what else (corals, inverts) you could have in the tank.

yes, they will be fine on their own, i would not add them all together, royal gramma is aggressive and the domino is very aggressive, and a damsel. dominos actaulyy get about 6" or so and ugly.

there is a way for not using salt water!!! go to a pet shop for fish and tell him to get a special crystal that disolves in water then get an aquarium and put normail water then put the crystals . this will help the fish and get a motor of oxygen and the put it in the aquerium with the motor the fish can breath easily!!
