I am planning to get a mini pin to be a house dog, so that all the rats in our house will be gone?

but do they really kill rats?

which do you prefer bull terrier or Mini-Pincher to kill rats?

I know this may sound silly, But we have a cockatial and have the opportunity to adopt a Parrotlet. We have a huge Parrott cage for them both to live in. We also have another smaller cage, but would they get along? Couldn't they / wouldn't they, be friends???

I have seven rummys (used to be eight) in a 10gal. quarentine w/ a female betta.

Water quality is good: 6.6pH, Oppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, 20ppm nitrate, 79 degrees.

I awoke this morning and looked in on them all and one of the rummys was floating, both of it's eyes eaten clear through it's head, fins totally intact, nothing else chewed or nipped...
Now - is this the female betta's doing - 1. killing and eating the eyes - 2. or did she just kill it while the rummys ate the eyes - 3. or did the rummys kill it and she ate the eyes?

I watched their behaviors while they were together (she's in a breed and show internal hang on as of now) and the rummys seemed more intrigued by her than she by them. In other words there appeared to be no issue...

Maybe this particular rummy was on his way out anyhow (because it showed no sign of being aggressed), and its death led to the opprotunity for feeding.

Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have information regarding nutrional deficiencies but cannot find anything about excess. If anybody could provide some sources that may help me write an overview on the subject, that would be great!

Alot is said about Dog attacks. I own and have bred Doberman Pinschers for over 15 years and ofter answer questions regarding don't they kill their masters ? or my favorite is don't their brains outgrow there skulls and they go crazy and become vicsous ? Here is the official data on most breeds and it will suprise most. This data covers US and Canada from 1982 on.

Hi
I bought my rabbit a couple of weeks ago from a petshop who said he was a dwarf, but im thinking maybe hes just a normal sized rabbit, i cant tell though. I know hes not lop or netherland. Hes quite small at the moment as hes only 13 weeks old. He does have these huge ears compared to his body and hes white and silver with a dark silver patch nose. Hes got a structured face all smooth looking and smooth medium length fur. Any ideas as im trying to find a similar female to put in with him, neutered of course, and i dont want her to out grow him or vise versa.

My birds has a personality I just can't get over!! Ive had my green cheek conure, Kiwi, for about 6 years now. He/She has really come out of his shell in the last 2 years. He is talkative....only knows about 5 words but loves to laugh and bark. This morning I went back to sleep on the couch and his cage is very near the couch...all i hear is him whispering Hi Kiwi, Pretty Bird and then cracking. He is sooo cute...is he unusually sweet or do any of you have birds like this? Any stories? He is my first bird Ive ever owned..a gift from grandparents.

We have a 2 1/2 year old female lab. She is currently in heat. We are thinking we would like to breed her. When and how do we do this. She is registered and we are also looking for a registered male lab. We live in IL.

I bought my purebread dog from a friend who breeds them. I have been taking her over there the last few months for them to dog sit for me. This morning I went over to pick her up and she is pregnant. I have been on vacation for the last two weeks and coming back it's pretty obvious, she looks huge. I am furious because this means that my dog is pregnant by the male that is also her father! I cannot believe this happened. My friend says this was an accident, but she was supposed to be watching my dog and keeping her separate, that's the entire reason I trusted them instead of using a dog kennel while I am away. What am I supposed to do? Are these pups gonna be weird inbreeds? Should I just take her to the vet, is there even such a thing as dog abortions? I don't know if I have the heart, they still are living beings. What now about our friendship. I feel so frustrated at the same time I understand accidents happen. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks

we have a baby chick [5days old] when it hatched it was thrown out of its nest and left in the cold for approx 2 hours. we brought it home and nursed it back to good health. the problem is, all the other chicks that hatched at the same time are full of life but this one just stands and wont move. it can walk and chirp but just wants to stay with its mum. when we feed them the mum runs to the food and calls the chicks over but this one just walks to its mum and sits back under her again.its hardly eating. could it have brain damage from being in the cold for so long? is there anything we can do?
ive searched the net but cant find anything on this.

Okay guys, my cat is such a dork. He has a little problem. When I let him in the house he likes to run back to the bathroom and play in the toliet. Then he leaves his muddy paw prints all over the seat and the floor. Tupac is just a mess! (tupac isn't his real name, its a nickname) Now with our new kitten P.J. I'm afraid he will pick up the same habit! Any suggestions on how to break the habit? HELP!

P.S. Leaving the lid down doesn't help, he still gets his paws in there!

My cockatiel is about 16 weeks and is still not weaned. The vet saids the bird is about a month behind because I had to take him as soon as he hatched because they killed the first two that had hatched. I just don't know why he won't wean. He is starting to take the formula from my hand and he picks at the seeds, pallets, and mallets I put in the cage. I just don't know if he is eating it or playing with it. He doesn't take as much formula as he did and I'm worried about him. Please Help!!

My puppy is about 3 lbs, and i applied a tube of advantix flea treatment, but i don't think it really penetrated into her skin, because it was dripping down her coat, so i had to blot it up with tissue. Should i apply another tube, i've been bathing her weekly. But she still itching, i've found a couple small fleas, no massive infestation. All my other pet have been treated with their doses, and going to wash their bedding. But, i would like to be able to use a organic, natural treatment for her. Any suggestions.

Greyhounds are practically the least popular dog breed. All these people want puppies or poodles(yuck), that are high maintnance and hyper. I hate people who think greyhounds are like that. They don't even need to run everyday. Mine is perfectly happy sleeping and going for walks now and then, and she is so sweet, and has bever bitten anyone. It really bothers me that so few people have a greyhound. In my opinion, they are by far the easiest and sweetest and gentlest and best with childrenist dogs to adopt. And if you don't adopt them, they will die.

Ok... well when I tack up a horse, hose one down, or do somethign with a horse related to tackign up IN FRONT of someone... i don't know why but i tend to mess up. I get nervous. Once time, this ten year old girl (i was 13 or 12 at the time... now i'm 14) kept watching me... just staring. Adn i got nervous (as usual in front of ppl) and I put the girth on backwards... and i NEVER do that.. she was acting all high and mighty, and said, "Um.. you do know that that's on backwards right?" Then she gave me this look like i was the most stupid person in the world. And i did feel like the stupidest person in the world. When I tack up my horse ALONE i go at my pace and i'm not nervous at all! I do things right...

so how can i get over that feeling of getting nervous in front of ppl?? (including my trainer.. and even my mom who doesn't ride!)
thank you! (oh... and to the ppl who read my previous questions... i have decided to go back riding! thats' why i'm askign about this feeling)
