My cat this morning is coughing and gagging on occasions, usually much more when he purrs or is shown attention, he done this a couple of weeks ago but after a few hours it went away.

He seems to constantly scratch the left side of his face, right at the back of the Jaw, I have looked inside his mouth and cant see anything unusual.

Any ideas? I cant take him to the vet today as its Sunday but it is a worrie.

he was just sleeping on my foot nicely while i was revising then he got up, walked several steps and i heard this BLEUGHHH noise.
i then saw a yellowy liquid by him, it was quite small.
i picked him up to give him a little hug, like you do, and he felt all floppy;
but that might because he just got up, he's so dopey then.
is this anything major?

Why did it sleep so close to me?

Is it because I'm fat?

On Saturday at around noon we gave my dog her flea and tick medication per the vet's orders (we need to administer it every month an this is the first time we've done it- she's only six months old). The name of the flea and tick medication is called Promeris Duo, and the brand is Fort Dodge Animal Health (we live in Belgium so you may not be familiar with the medication).
Anyway, ever since we administered it to her yesterday- she's been sleeping. She will play a little bit, or go bark at a squirrel for ten minutes, but then its back to sleep for a long time. On the package it did say that a possible side effect of the medication is that the dog will be lethargic for 24 hours, and it hasn't been a full 24 hours yet. I'm just wondering if any of you have had experience with this brand, or think that it is fairly normal that she is tired. We are planning on calling the vet tomorrow if she is not better- but I just wanted people's thoughts. By the way, she is eating normally.

I have a syrian hamster. She has a cage (not the "biggest", though, since she's gotten bigger). My parents have allergies and they don't like the smell. They won't let me keep her in any room at all, not even mine. They do allow the bathroom though. So is it okay for me to put my hamster's cage in the bath tub? I let the cage door open so she can have some running space in the tub. Is that okay, or is outside preferable? But if she stays outside, the cage would be closed and she'll have a little room to run around.

She fed regularly on a FT rat every week. Does it have something to do with the change in season? It has begun to be quite warm here. It's been approximately 3 weeks.

I've looked at the pics for the bristle worms with crazy legs and fire worms. But mine is 3 in. , sensitive to light, and tubular. the tube gets smaller as it gets to his mouth ( and when he stretches) and his mouth is a small opening at the end. translucent brown. Any thoughts on it???? Harmful?????

1. allowing her dogs access to chocolate and raisins
2. not taking them to the vet because of shoe sales
3. allowing her first dog to die without treatment
4. sitting at home while her pregnant second dog vomits, has diarrhea, refuses to eat, is lethargic and aggressive.
5. allowing a dog to get pregnant twice - first at 6 months, then at 1 year old.
6. offering human food hoping it will help.
7. after all this asking people not to be rude because she "wont appreciate it" while asking for home remedies.

oh btw.. she did ask here what she should do right after she found the dogs with the chocolate, while the other dog was still alive - she chose to do nothing - this was her second question, one day and one dead dog later, about the incident.
no stupid, theres no home remedy for dead or dying dogs!

ok, i have a 38 gallon tank about a week and a half old. this morning i found my guppy dead. i get home this evening from enjoying a drink or two at a local hotspot, and find my angelfish dead. i had two, but now only one survived. the only thing i can think of doing wrong was not letting the dechlorinator sit in the water long enough when i did my thirty percent water change with my gravel siphon, so thats one of my questions. it sat for about 5 minutes in a five gallon bucket, clean, and i measured the right amount. ive never had this problem before with my smaller mini-bow tanks, and when i upgraded, it seems like all is falling apart. i had noticed a little bit of strange behavior from both fish last nite and the nite before. my temperature is sitting at 79 degrees as of rite now. i know it should be less, i have a heater, but in south texas, its of no use rite now... is there something i can buy to cool my water too? i think thats all, and this is long. thanks for your help.

I have a female syrian hamster. I've had her for about 6 months nowl. She's very sweet and never bites anyone, and she's very frisky. Whenever I try to hold her, she always tries to run away. When I do hold her, she moves really quickly around my arms and tries to jump off. I know she's comfortable around me because she has no problem walking all over me sometimes. I just want to know if it's her nature to be like that or if I have to handle her more often to make her even more used to that.

I have a 75 gallon all glass aquarium. It was just moved but we made a sturdy platform for it to sit on to avoid torquing it while doing so. The aquarium is 4 by 1.5 by 1.5-2 feet tall and has a black border on top. The back of it is covered with items( biowheel, filter intakes and outlets, protein skimmer, steralizer ect...). To pretty it up we put a back ground on the tank to hide all the things hanging from it(this is important). Now before the move there were no problems. 2 weeks later little droplets started rolling down between the paper and the glass. The drops were salt water and occured under the biowheel filter. We took it apart but found no problems keep in mind the drops ran between the paper and the glass so it was a real small area it would have to drip on. The top of the tank is completely dry and none of our equipment is spilling or dripping. The drip could be coming from anywhere and traveling along the paper until it drops down... continued below

I just bought a 26 gallon saltwater tank. Now I'm getting ready to fill it up and cycle it. I've read from some sources to fill it with water first then rock, others suggest setting the rock first, then putting water in. What is the best way to do it?
