I've looked at the pics for the bristle worms with crazy legs and fire worms. But mine is 3 in. , sensitive to light, and tubular. the tube gets smaller as it gets to his mouth ( and when he stretches) and his mouth is a small opening at the end. translucent brown. Any thoughts on it???? Harmful?????

Hard to say without being able to see it. You might try the link to a website I'll give below to see if you can get an identification at least to a family level, then doing a search on the web or "(name of the family) photo" to get websites with additional photos. Once you get an idea of what it is, you can find out if it's a predator or a scavenger.

http://www.petsforum.com/personal/trevor-jones/hitchhikerworms.html - skip the flatworms, it probably isn't one of these, but see roundworms further down the page.
