he was just sleeping on my foot nicely while i was revising then he got up, walked several steps and i heard this BLEUGHHH noise.
i then saw a yellowy liquid by him, it was quite small.
i picked him up to give him a little hug, like you do, and he felt all floppy;
but that might because he just got up, he's so dopey then.
is this anything major?

thanks all, he hasn't been sick again, or not yet anyway, he just looks really poorly.
but he is still willing to slowly give his paw to me!
bless. i'd don't know what i'd do with myself if i lost him! =[

If is was a small amount of yellowish stuff, I wouldn't worry unless it continues for 24 hours. Puppies can dehydrate quickly so be sure to watch him closely. If he begins to play and is normally active, then he just probably had an upset stomach.

Other than that he should be OK.

Our schnauzer used to do the same thing.
Yellow, foamy type.
Brought her to the vet and it turned out that she had a cold.
The color is from mucus.
If he does it at least once a day or more, take him to the vet.
He probably has an upper respiratory infection.

dogs are like babies, they eat sleep and vomit. its all a part of having a dog.. if it lasts more than 3 days non stop take him to the vet... from your added section, i think you should take him to the vet anyway

i have a dalmation,he always vomits and hes nota puppy anymore! usually when he gets exited and after he eats then runs around... part of being a dog. good luck with the puppy, im sure hes adorable
