1. allowing her dogs access to chocolate and raisins
2. not taking them to the vet because of shoe sales
3. allowing her first dog to die without treatment
4. sitting at home while her pregnant second dog vomits, has diarrhea, refuses to eat, is lethargic and aggressive.
5. allowing a dog to get pregnant twice - first at 6 months, then at 1 year old.
6. offering human food hoping it will help.
7. after all this asking people not to be rude because she "wont appreciate it" while asking for home remedies.
oh btw.. she did ask here what she should do right after she found the dogs with the chocolate, while the other dog was still alive - she chose to do nothing - this was her second question, one day and one dead dog later, about the incident.
no stupid, theres no home remedy for dead or dying dogs!

omg, for a sec , I am glad i hadnt read this question, for it would have made me burst a blood vessel or two, i would go for a combination of the 2 ans ..kick her in the ****, then poison her and watch her as she died like the poor dogs...real slow, how can such people exist and why in the world do they need pets when they are so preoccupied with themselves and themselves alone? sick!

Some people were questioning if people are really this stupid. And boy oh boy, they certainly can be. I've seen animals suffer many times in my life because their owners refused to accept any comments regarding the way they treat, feed and raise their dogs. Very sad endings.
And I do call the humane society to get help for those poor animals.
Maybe they should start up an education plan, people have to take regarding the raising, training and feeding of dogs/cats. Make in mandatory, otherwise you can't own one. Furthermore, if you can't prove you are a legitimate breeder, with proper premises for breeding and caring for the puppies and their mothers, don't allow them to do it. They should have to be licenced to breed dogs. And that licence should be renewed every so often, after receiving a good report from another inspection.

Yes, they should! Or at least put in jail for a long @ss time. Dogs have to suffer because of irresponsible owners and it makes me want to yank all my hair out. IF PEOPLE CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEIR DOGS THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I don't see how people can be that ignorant. Dogs are like people to me, only they RELY on their owners. IT'S NOT FAIR.
Yeah and that little "please don't be rude" thing. She should have known that everyone would jump up and shoot out answers that may seem rude to her. They weren't rude at all, they were stating the obvious. The VERY obvious.
AND among all those other stupid things there's letting that poor poor dog get pregnant at 6 months and then a year. OMG. Does SPAY AND NEUTER mean anything to these stupid people???
This brakes my heart and makes me extremely angry. Thank you for posting this. Maybe that lady will do her suffering dogs a favor and give them to someone who actually has the brain capacity to care for them properly.

The United States.... oh wait let me REPHRASE this to show the absolute TRUTH of this- - - GEORGE W BUSH got the American people into the Iraq situation ---first through his LIES about weapons of mass destruction and of COURSE, I don't think there is a sane person IN the US that doesn't KNOW the main purpose of being in IRAQ is OIL... both Bush AND Cheney are big texas oil men.. BUT, the rest of the people in the United States are NOT big oil men (or women).. an overwelming percent of the US population does not WANT our soldiers in Iraq or anywhere in the middle east. However, due to the military presense and conflicts in the middle east, there just isn't the manpower AT THE MOMENT to go into Africa as well.... As for $$$$$ the USA has poured BILLIONS of dollars into Africa for DECADES.....and still manage to squeek out MORE funds to our supporters in Africa... but until things finish in Iraq ---IF THEY EVER DO, the concentration must stay in the middle east for now.

I can only hope this is a troll. I know there are people out there who really are this self-centered, but to be so blatant about it and then to have the audacity of telling people not to be rude... UGH!
The sad and horrible part of this is that she can't be reported to the SPCA... there's no way of knowing who and where she is. I hate to think of what might have happened to that poor dog! Pregnant twice within a year!

it would be nice, but I would much prefer stricter legislation on cruelty charges and I wish this woman would have to go to jail. If she treated a human child this way, she would be prosecuted for murder.
But a dog, who can't speak, didn't choose her as his mother, and didn't deserve death died because she was UNWILLING to take him to the vet. My god - why didn't she even make him vomit??!!
People like this don't deserve to own animals. It should be against the law for them to be in charge of any living thing. I wish that someone who knows her would go over to her house, call the cops, and take her dog away. I am sure that those poor little puppies are dead and she is suffering from toxic shock from their bodies.
Here's a better question - who would mate a rat terrier and a retriever together anyway??!!

Yeah most definitely .. Sometimes I get so mad at the stupidity, that I have to turn off the computer and go find something else to do.. There are far too many people out there that don't even deserve to have a dog, let alone be walking around the streets freely.. I think if bad dogs should be muzzled, stupid people should have to wear their straight jackets in public!

At first reading this I didn't believe it. But what is scary is people really are this stupid. It seems like she was more concerned about the puppies than her dog, which makes me think the breedings weren't accidental. Puppy mill in the works! People like this shouldn't be allowed to have pets or kids at all. Screw human rights, I vote for mandatory sterilization for people like this!

I'm still hoping that this is one big wind up, I'm struggling to believe that anyone can be that stupid, callous and plain ignorant.
If it's true then I'm not sure what I would want to do to her, at the moment my mind can't imagine a bad enough fate for her.

OH MY GOD you are SO right!!!!! I was seeing red when I read her question!!!! This makes me ill! It literally made me sick to my stomach. My dogs and cat have put me in debt but it's worth it because they are all healthy!!! AHHHHHH!!! It's SO frustrating! Isn't this animal cruelty? I would never, ever do that to a dog! My neighbors friend kept giving her little dogs chocolate. Guess what happened even after I told her it was poison to them? Yup! DEATH! WHAT IS WRONG with these people?! And WHY do they even want to own dogs!?
Addendum: And thank you for being here to answer questions! I value your opinion as a vet!
