I had a few tropical fish including a plecko in our ten gallon tank. Then I bought two fish that apparently had ick and fish rot because everybody got it and died off two by two within 2 days. (I had started the ick medication)
Now, a week later all that's left is the plecko who appears quite healthy and normal. I never finished the medication.
My question is, I want to restock my tank and I'm not sure if the parasites are still in my tank.
What do I need to do to make my tank safe for new fish:?
And no, I will not be going back to the store that sold me the sick fish.

My cat came up to me today, and he had a huge leaf stuck to his stomach, so I pulled it off and it looks like a leech stuck to his stomach. I tried to pull it off, but it wouldn't budge. When I try to pick my cat up to bring him in the house, he freaks out.

How much cottage cheese can I feed my 17 week old husky puppy? He has just recovered from parvo and my vet said I could feed him cottage cheese, but he seems to be very fond of the stuff and just wolfs it down, so I want to know what quantity to feed him and I can give it to him everyday? thanks for all the help.

It does't have a large/spiny dorsil finn like a bass. And not the mouth shape of a trout.

So sometime during Thursday night, my dog threw up all over the place. Ever since then, she's been really lethargic and won't get up easily. When I call her, it's like she wants to get up, so she'll walk a couple slow steps, then she'll sit back down like she's in pain. She won't eat. Even bigger problem is that I'm a teenager, and my parents aren't home. When they get home later, I'm going to force them to take her to the vet, but until then, does anyone know what this could be?

I just got my reed diffuser set up. If you dunno what it is, its a kinda like essence burner thing except you dun need to burn anything, just put the reeds in the bottle of essence and the fragrance will come out. I'm not sure if this will harm my goldies. My room is always stinky, I kinda want to put this thing here. Do any of you ever have some sort of air freshener in the same room as your tank? Will this harm them? (the tank is 10 gallon)

My cat Gable is 12 years old. He goes to the vet on a regular basis and is caught up on all of his shots and whatnot. Other than an ear infection that he is presently being treated for, he is relatively healthy for his age. (HIs last visit to the vet was a week ago.)

However, he is skin and bones. The vet has suggested a high protein diet and switching from his regular food (Kit n Kaboodle) to a brand name kitten formula as well as supplementing with canned food. I've done all of that, but Gable just doesn't have much of an appetite....even before the ear infection he was losing weight.

I know he is OLD. But I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas on what Gable might like that could help put a little weight on him but not be hard on his system. I've tried yogurt and he liked it, but he only ate about a teaspoon.

Thanks for any advice. I've had him since he was a kitten and he's FAMILY. I'd like to keep him around as long as possible.

My two year old mixed breed dog Maggie is a very sweet dog, but lately she has shown some agressive behaivior. She used to be very defensive of her bones and chew toys, but now she only defends them around visitiors. She has become more snappy lately, especially if anyone other than a family member touches her things (dog bed, leash, toys, etc). Is there any way to train her out of this behaivior, or is it normal? She has never been to a dog trainer or obedience classes.
