NO. you have to wait until she is fully developed otherwise there can be serious complications.
you should not breed any small dog until they are at LEAST 1.5 years.
2 years for a large breed.
if you are asking a question as simple as this it means you dont know what you are doing - breeding can be dangerous, if you dont know what to do you can lose the mother AND the [pups. even mating itself can be dangerous and cause serious internal injuries.
get her SPAYED.

First do you know what you are getting into with breeding. A lot of places have laws on vet care, shots, etc also when they can go and certain laws on health guarantees.
If yours is the female make sure the male is smaller as well as comes from samller background as it is the male that determines the size. you need to go back about 3-4 generaations. Are you ready for possible extra vet charges like c-sections.
For breeding a dog should not be bred until the second heat. In most cases at the first heat they are not fully developed and can cause more problems. she should be bred with an experienced stud.
I would strongly suggest spaying if you don't know what you are doing and teh old wifes tail of letting them have 1 litter isn't true best to be done between 5-6 months.
You really need to spend time knowing what you are getting into breeding .

WHY does everyone seem to think they need to get something out of their pets? Just spay her and love her and enjoy her. Like most people you will ignore all that but please make sure you have a big bank account to properly care for her and have at least $2500.00 saved back for an emergency c-section because it happens all the time. Do a search for Maltipoo puppies for sale and I guarantee you that you will find over a 1000 available TODAY and EVERYDAY. Most of those will end up in shelters and put to sleep or added to the breeding chain. It's disgusting! You should not breed her until she is 2 years old and ONLY after she has passed all of her health clearances through the OFA. Health clearances are not a 'Good to go' from the vet.
Please stop breeding pets. nearly 50,000 are put to sleep each day in this country. WHY??
If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

Since you are asking this question about a puppy you are looking to make a quick buck and are not a responsible breeder. Do yourself the dog and the world a favor. Get her spayed and do not contribute to the population of dogs looking for homes. Having puppies now Will endanger your pet the puppies and could likely cost you more then the fortune you are looking for.Anyone with scruples will not let their dog stud for you anyway and another backyard breeding would be born. Please do the right thing and love your little girl enough to leave breeding to people who get the proper clearances, check backgrounds and fix pet quality animals. There are so many wonderful animals put down every day. I believe people who breed for profit without thought should be arrested. Think about it!!!!!

Abosuletly not! The dog must be AT LEAST 2-3 years old because that is the normal time the dog is fully devoloped. You must also make sure you have a huge savings fund because it is higly possible something will go wrong during labor. She and her puppies can die if she and her stud havent had all apporpriate vaccintations, the right nutrition etc. Go to this site it will answer some question you may have and read all of it not just some of it :

Never. She should be spayed. Just think of all the homeless puppies out there...and you want to bring more into the world just so that you can take care of them? If you want puppies so badly, go to a rescue group, a shelter, or the humane society. Why would you want to put your poor dog through all that, anyway? The last thing that the world needs is another ignorant and inexperienced breeder.

Atleast 2 yrs is the best time to breed. You need to do some research before you breed your dog. Ask yourself why are you breeding her, is it for $$ or to improve the breed. If it is for $$ then you should not breed. It will take alot of you time and own $$ to properly care for the female and her litter. Why are you in such a rush to breed her? No offense but it sounds like you can't wait till her first season to breed her and make some money off of her.

Well, you are asking an interesting question. Can you breed her at 9 mos? Yes. Should you? H^%& NO! Unless you want to doom her to potential problems, potential damage to the pups and a lot of heartache. It has nothing to do with her size and everything to do with her health. No ***** should ever be put to breed until she is a minimum of a yr old. Her bones aren't done developing and her reproductive system is still immature. Ask your vet what happens to puppy mill females and what will happen to your little girl if you did that.

a good breeder will usually wait until the dog is two years old. with a 9 month old puppy you run the risk of her not taking care of the puppies as she is still a puppy herself and that would be very expensive on you. also younger dogs run the risk (its a small risk but a risk just the same) of complications during birth. i would wait till shes at the very least a year and a half two years old.

well first she need to be a year and a half at least and in her third heat. then youll need to go down to the pound and get a breeding license for like $100. if you dont its a fee for at least $500. so it would be pretty wise to get a license. but other then that good luck with those cute little things.
