The kitties are now 4 weeks and the past several day mum is spending more & more time away from her nest whilst they play & frolic. The 5 babies are all healthy, happy & are very friendly but does this mean its time to start weaning?
They are still in a huge box in my bedroom....do I put a litter tray in too? Are they big enough to come out of the box and explore my bedroom?
As they have been enclosed mum has no idea yet how to 'carry' them so Im not sure whether they should explore the jungle that is my bedroom?
Help please re weaning & toileting these little bundles of joy

Has anyone tried the NEW LitterMaid box that s'pose to be more effective.. u can take the rake out .. etc? I tired it b/4 & wasn't happy w/ it. I have switched to PetMate brand thru PetsMart & like much better but after a yr it's wearing out. I have 2 of them & 6 cats sooo .. any help on the NEW one would be appreciated.

I have a 9 month old rainbow lorikeet. He lives in the house and is in excellent health.
However, his feathers on his body are starting to look straggly and tatty.
His head, neck, wing and tail feathers have recently fallen out and been replaced by beautiful intact feathers, but his body ones are quite tatty.
I have looked carefully at him and he doesn't appear to have any lice or mites. He has lived the past 9 months alone in the house, although he was born in an outside aviary (but that was 9 months ago when he was born - he came to me at 9 weeks old)

Is it simple moulting?

He flies perfectly well and doesn't appear to be in distress or excessively grooming.

Any advice?

i have gravle in my tank but i was thinking because its so had to clean could i just take out the gravle the n glue the plants to tyhe bottom of the tank so they dont float do you think this would work better then having gravle

Just teasing out the waters, since I get different answers -- would you guys get an underwater filter for a new goldfish tank? I am going to get a canister, and also have an HOB I can use, but i want to make sur ehtey get lots of O2 -- they will have a large air exchange since the tank is long. thanks!

Ok, so my schnauzer has fleas!!! Before anyone says anything I do have a clean house! Yes my yard has been treated too, however there are stray dogs and cats in my area and they get in my yard. I just left town recently and I bug bombed my home and put on his frontline plus. However he still has fleas. He's chewing up his back! Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of them? Any help or tricks would be great!

I have a mating pair in my tank so I have about 9 guppies I think they are playts er something. I also have an african dwarf frog that I have seen nipping at the fish and I believe one of the guppies got too close. It has no tail!! I found it will some mucus like stuff around the "tail" (or where it is supposed to be) It looks at if their is still bone there. This sounds like a case where I couldn't do anything and it will die shortly, but this little fighter has lived pasted two nights with basicly no rear end!! How can I help it survive because personally if it is fighting to live I am going to fight for it to live too. There is one problem....can it poop? because if not then IT MAY DIE!!! help!

I need help. I just got a goldfish and I want ti to be happy. peeps keep telling dont bother it will only last a week, but stll. so far I have filled a sizely tank/bowl with half tap water half water bottle. it is a small fish. I already have good for it food and a large house looking toy in the tank. I want ot spoil my fish. Any more advice?

I have 1male beta n 1 female. I just put them in the same tank, n he started chasing after her with his things flarring up. What does that mean, cuz they were by each otha, but then he just chased her around put they wasnt fighting, or was he jus tryna pick a fight????

I have a kitten and her name was Electra for about 4 days, but it is just not right. She is white with black tail, one black spot behind her right front leg, a black spot over each eye (almost like an eyebrow) and a black triangle on the back or her neck, right below her ears. Please don't answer take the bird to the vet. I know that, but its 10pm I can't do that right now.

He didn't fall or get hurt that I know of. He was on his play gym on the floor like he always plays on in the morning and the evening. He just keeps getting worse. His foot doesn't look abnormal at all like it is injuried or cut.

He only seems to do it on his rug, but he is on that every day. I don't get it.

Any suggestions on what is wrong?

Well my goat went in labor at 6:30pm and had a front hoof sticking out at 7:00pm, at this point i could still see it moving around in there, so i know it was still alive She pushed for an hour and there was no progress. So i stuck my hand in and i felt no head, so i started pulling everytime she pushed, but i could not pull it out. So i took her to the vet and they did a c-section, but when they got it out it was already dead. Did the pulling i do kill it? I feel sooo bad that i probably have killed it. What could i have done differently? I am so sad *crying*
