Has anyone tried the NEW LitterMaid box that s'pose to be more effective.. u can take the rake out .. etc? I tired it b/4 & wasn't happy w/ it. I have switched to PetMate brand thru PetsMart & like much better but after a yr it's wearing out. I have 2 of them & 6 cats sooo .. any help on the NEW one would be appreciated.

I hated the LitterMaid box and gave it away because it was more trouble than just scooping it myself.

I have a friend who has the Litter Robot and it works really well but is a little more expensive ~ well worth the extra cost, though. She goes out of town on trips and is sometimes gone a week or two at a time. Her sister cleans it out once a week when she is gone for more than a week and all the dirty litter is in a pan under the "box" which is on top.

She takes bags from the grocery and puts them around the pan so all she has to do is remove the bag with the litter and put a new bag on. Very easy to clean and less mess.

I wish I had known about it when I bought the other one so I could have taken my $150 and put it on that rather than throw it away on the LitterMaid.

Our 21 year old kitty died last Nov and we are wanting to get another one but won't until we get the Litter Robot. I don't think you would be disappointed but it is a little bigger (taller for one) than the LM or a regular box and you do need an outlet fairly close by.

that's an issue with an incredible sort of cats, have self belief me. i offered a extensive nook clutter field that has plenty bigger facets and a low front so they are able to get in much less complicated and function an incredible sort of enclosed room to dig -- it sort of feels to inspire greater digging. additionally bit the bullet and purchase a bag of Dr. Elsey's Cat charm to clutter (Petsmart sells it). this is costly at $sixteen a bag even though it has something in it that looks to charm to cats like a magnet and that they decide directly to dig in it. It additionally lasts 2 or thrice longer than different litters and would not music or make dirt. this is properly worth a attempt, i think of. some cats will use a lined field which permits administration the scent yet some won't. you should objective that still yet be arranged for them to no longer like it (save a usually happening one interior of reach). For scent administration i admire the Arm and Hammer floor corn clutter (tan and brown granular stuff) , It has a piney scent like clean shrink timber and controls urine scent truly properly. One vast disadvantage is the darn stuff tracks everywhere in the homestead on condition that's like sawdust.
