A dog is considered a puppy till they're about 18-24 months old. This is when their growing stops and they are old enough to be considered a dog. However ~ if you're getting a Lab then you can't really expect dog type behavior till they are about 15 or more years old. (That's when they actually calm down and stop being destructive, digging GIANT holes in your yard, chewing, etc.) Labs get bored and need ALOT of human contact and attention ! They need alot of exercise to keep them from getting bored so easily. Good luck !
(btw-what kind of puppy is it ?)

Yes they are still a "puppy". In what way are you asking? that sounds weird but...
Do you want to know if they are still hyper like pups or if they should be on puppy food? Depending on the breed i guess is the right answer. Larger breeds tend to age different than small breeds. A Labrador doesn't mature in it's body or mind for that matter until about 2. Smaller breeds tend to mature faster. Most dogs still are a ball of energy at a year old.
Good Luck!!

Not sure about the American Kennel control clubs.
In Australia the classification is as follows: -
BABY PUPPY: 3 - 6 months
MINOR PUPPY: 6 - 9 months
PUPPY: under 12 months
JUNIOR: under 18 months
Having said that, all my dogs have been my "Babies" as long as they lived.

Don't think so because as long as he or she can mate, they're no longer puppies.
