It depends on what breed your dog is. Some breeds need a c-section more often than not.

Just to avoid any possible complications that can occur, I would take her to a vet. Just as I would my daughter. Birth is a natural process but that does not mean there are not risk involved. Be on the safe side. Consult a vet. If you have budget concerns you may try a phone call consultation. Good luck and enjoy the puppies or find them a good home.

Is there a reason too? Are you an experience and ethical breeder, or did you wack a dog to your ***** hoping to make money?? Fat chance..you will spend more than you make.

If it looks like she cannot birth them yes, take her to the vet. Pups are generally born in 63 days after mating. Most will be fine. I would suggest you get someone who has been there done that be around when your dog goes into labour (stratching, digging, whimpering, frequent trips to the yard (follow her or she may deliver a pup and you think she is pooping)

Please think seriously about desexing after the litter and lover her for the dog she is not what she can produce!

I think that is a question that only your vet and your budget can answer. If you are unsure, take momma in to the vet and see what they have to say. Certain breeds do have problems with delivery so a check up will let you know how she is doing and an exray can judge the size of the pups and even how many. Good luck

It depends. Certain breeds (the English bulldog especially) can't really have their puppies naturally because of the way their body is made--they have to have a C-section.

If she seems to be doing all right on her own, let nature take its course. If she has trouble--like the labor being too long, take her to the vet. She may have puppies that are too big for her to have.

If' you're not sure, ask your vet--he/she is the best qualified to answer that....

It depends on what kind of dog what size first litter or not etc. I would make the vet aware that she is pregnant and advise him/her that you may need to bring her in for help. Most dogs require a pit shot after they are done giving birth to end the contractions and bleeding. Try to determine now how many pups there are so you know when she is done.

Yes, we always did. You never know when she might run into complications. She will be more comfortable, and it will be a lot more sanitary for mommy and her pups. Taking her to the vet for this would be a wise choice! Congratulations, good luck, and God Bless!!!!

No, unless you want a large vet fee.
