My dog just had an accident with the lawn mower. What do I do? I know how to log onto a computer. But what do I do when my dog is bleeding.

I agree whole heatedly!!! I posted a similar question to this months ago. I really can't see how people can really be that stupid to waste time getting on the computer instead of taking the dog directly to the vet!!! I wonder all the time, are the questions just out of pure ignorance, laziness, or not wanting to put out the $$$ to go to the vet? I would guess it could be all depending on the person asking the question. Another question that gets to me is, I think my dog's leg is broken, how can I tell? I just want to scream XRAYS is the ONLY way unless you see a bone sticking out or you can actually see a deformity!!!

I sure am! My goodness, has common sense gone right out the window or what??!!!
Along with can my dog be pregnant?
It seems it is just easier to post a question here instead of getting the dog to the vet or the emergency vet. I shudder sometimes when I know the poor animal is in pain or may be dieing.
I just don't understand!!!

I completely agree. I don't know what's wrong with people, but I've even seen the same blase' attitude with people and their own children! These are people who clearly should not be allowed to be pet owners. And they probably imagine that animals don't have the same kind of "feelings" we do, and that they somehow "can't feel pain" the way we do. I'm a vet tech, and you wouldn't believe the things I've seen and heard! It's the same ignorant people time and time again that wait until their pet is on death's door, usually after a long period of the animal suffering in pain needlessly, and then bring them in to the vet. Now it has gone on so long that it takes heroic efforts on the part of the dr. and staff, along with medical miracles to save the animal, and of course the owners can't (or won't) pay for it. Before anyone gets a pet, they need to be aware of the commitment it takes *to that animal for the rest of its life*, and understand what kind of financial responsibility it requires. Thanks for bringing attention to this sad situation. That's what we need; education.

I tend to agree with you
the time it takes to type the message would be longer than the time to ring the Vet. The dog would be in my car and half way to the Vets if it was vomiting here.

I'll have to go with you on that. I find it surprising that people would even have to ask, considering the problem. One would think they would view their dog with the same eyes as a human...would you not go to the hospital if your child, spouse, parent, was throwing up blood??? Pretty amazing, but not much surprises me anymore considering the increase in stupid people in the last 2 decades. Good question!!!!

There are hundreds of questions like this. I think that they are being asked just to ruffle feathers as it has seemed to have done with you.
