Confusing question? Well i need a name.

I need an animal, that is not really common, but still known by other people.

For instance, "Falcon" is a good one, but overly common.

Please help me *SOBSOB*

I gave my cats Frontline Plus two weeks ago and I still find big fleas on them, even pregnant fleas, on my cats when I use the flea comb. The directions say Frontline works immediately and not to apply a second treatment for at least a month. Is Advantage definitively better? Can I put Advantage on my cats now or should I wait two more weeks. I put Frontline on my cats two weeks ago. Have there been reports of fake or faulty pet medicine via an Internet store?

We don't have a cat, just dogs but we keep smelling 'cat spray' close to our front door! Hate that! Is there something that we can use to keep the cat away? We've not even seen the cat, he just leaves the odor behind! Our thanks to you for helpful answers!

My dog is a female Chihuahua and she always barks at the slightest noise. Even if she hears cars going by on the street that are relatively loud, she continually barks, long after the car has gone by. Also, when my friends, family, or guests come over, she continually barks, long after they have entered the house and been there for a few minutes...when car doors slam, people knock on the door, any little minuscule movement triggers her to bark. I am not asking for her to never bark again, as that would be unreasonable, I am just hoping that someone could give me advice on how to make her stop barking after I have been alerted of the situation. I have tried telling her 'no', and other forms of 'scolding,' though my scolding has never gone beyond a strict NO! Needless to say, it didn't work, as she kept right on barking. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

yesterday i was washing my dog and he bit my finger pretty hard and i bled a lot. my dog is usually mean.
newais so like i was saying he bit me and after he bit me while i was holding him he started acting retarded and he peed on me which he usually don't pee on people. after that i put him on the tub and he started foaming from his mouth for couple of seconds and stopped and couldn't stand he kept falling to the side and couldn't control his balance.
but i heard if dogs have rabies they don't eat food or drink water
but my dog EATS a lot and DRINKS a lot so i don't know if he has rabies or not. Right now he's perfectly fine.
oh and after i got bitten i went to the hospital and got a shot on the arm incase if i get infected. if my dog did have rabies would that shot prevent me from getting rabies?
help please! i'm so scared T_T

i asked this question yesterday and I guess I should have mentioned that my dog is fixed! Would be silly to leave my unfixed female outside with this goofy dog! I would have to be insane or stupid, I am neither, thank you! This is why I am really wondering what in the world this neighbor dog is thinking. My dog is only tied out occassionally. She is inside most of the time, but I do put her out from time to time. Sometimes she is loose while WITH me and other times I tie her for a while. Hope that clears up any confusion from my first question. The neighbor dog is always running around free. we live in the country. He has never been trained or taught to mind, so it really isnt his fault that he appears to be so stupid! I have asked the neighbors before to keep him contained, but they never do. He poops over here all of the time. So,I have to keep my dog on worm meds year round.

Is there a way to add pertinent left out facts to already posted questions that I have asked?

We recently adopted a youngish, unneutered male, Pitt Bull (maybe a mix).

By "gentle" I mean get the dog to trust us, walk on a leash, obey commands like come, sit, and stay. He seems to be a sweet dog with no food agression issues, but he's been abused and is terribly frightened of being beaten. He used to be kept chained up in a yard, so to him a collar and leash are implements of torture.

We've started out by giving him lots of praise and petting when he does something good. Treats and praise when he obeys a command. And lots of easy walks around the neighborhood. We switched his old, tight harness (what he used to wear when chained up in the yard) to a choke collar and he has responded really well to this. He still can't figure out that he needs to stay on one side, but maybe with time and patience?

I have a chihuaha and his symptoms are: normally active dog is lethargic; cries out in pain on barely touching or sometimes no touch. Doesn't want to move very much on repositioning. No BM in a whole day noted.

I am getting a dog as soon as i finish college, and these are the breeds i am thinking about; a boxer, american bulldog, doberman, or german shepherd. I eventually want two dogs and the second will probably be one on that list also. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Please, tell me what you think!

My mothers neighbour has a cute little puppy, which only today I managed to approach and play with it. To my shock, I discovered that the poor little think is covered with ticks, has one sick eye and is clearly underfed.

Mom says he is a realy weird bloke, and I shouldnt say anything because I'm going to set a dispute. I respect the fact that my mother wants her peace and quiet, but I'm also concerned about this little creature that cannot defend itself.

My question is: how do I handle this matter? How do you educate someone so thick about animal care, without making it worse? And, can I possibly save all those mistreated dogs in my little town, you wont believe how people believe that animals are just "things".

Mind you, we are talking about Greece, where animal welfare is unknown and law enforcement on this subject is...zero. (actually u are considered somewhat weird if you make a fuss for stuff like that)

What do you people suggest?

There is a cat that comes every night to my yard, and bothers my female cat, which is fixed . It makes a loud sick sounding meow. Makes my dogs run out and bark! Wakes me up all through the night!

What can I do to make this cat go away, and what does it want with my cat?

We have a 12 week old puppy weimaraner. She is crated at night & has progressed (since 8 weeks old) from barking alot of the night to barking minimally.
She no longer barks when she is put in, but she does bark in the middle of the night (usually right before we are ready to let her out to go potty) & she barks in the morning (usually right before we are ready to get up & take her for a walk & feed her.) Its almost as if she has developed an internal clock, but its just a tad early. We've been ignoring her & not letting her out until she stops barking, but she still continues to bark at those times of the night. Any suggestions?

I'm really interested in getting a beautiful harlequin Great Dane and have been doing research for almost a year now.

I just wanted to know what people think of them from ownership, experience, or just opinions. Maybe how well you have notice them get along with other dogs, or how well you think they are to housetrain, etc.

Thanks!
