My cocker spaniel used to hate pottying outside or on her pads. She would hide under the bed and go...she'd go in the closet...I started to realize that the times she did this she was usually upset with me for some reason. Your puppy might be rebelling in an attempt to get attention...negative attention is better than not getting enough.

We had the same problem when we firsted used pads. The best way to get him to use them all the time is to put a bit of pee and poo on each fresh pad then his scent will already be on it. It will take a couple of weeks before sight association builds up with him as he is so young, by the time he is around 12 weeks you should be able to stop doing this!
It sounds like it defeats the purpose of changing the pad, but it does work.

Have you actually trained him to use the pads or are you expecting him to just know? He is very young still and he wont automatically understand what you want. You have to have a lot of patience and time to teach him in a way he understands. He doesnt speak english!

PUPPY PADS = NOT GOOD

It teaches the dog to go potty in the house. Take him outside to aviod housetraining issues. I started out using pads for my puppy... she went EVERYWHERE in the whole house!! I started taking her outside and it stopped. There needs to be a seperation of potty and home for your pup or her will NEVER get it. If you must, get a litter box, otherwise puppy pads are setting you up for failure!!

Patience.
Newspaper is better & cheaper than the pads If all your family/friends keep them for you.
If you see your dog going to P else were even if it is half way through it, pick up & put on the paper. give plenty of praise when it does it right.
