its black its got 3 tiny blue dots ( the size of pin points ) and its got a bunch of spots and stuff on its back and a few stripes there all a greenish brown color anyone tell me?

If you could post a picture here or send a picture to 8 in the corner, he is the best person on cichilds I know on here. Without a picture though, the accuracy of your answers will be very suspect.

Hmmm, the balck with blue dots on it sounds like a Tropheus Duboisi. But, the stripes part doesnt. Try looking that fish up. See if resembles it. The best thing for you to do is post a picture. then we will be able to help you better. Until you do, all your gonna get are good guesses.

Listen to Jon V. I had 8 In The Corner help with my cichlids, and he provided a lot of great info and suggestions. He did say he was going to be off-line for a few days, so don't think he is ignoring you if he does not reply.

They sound like African Cichlids originating from the lake Makawi region of Africa. I have mine for 8 years.
