my staffie had a her 1st litter ov seven 4 days ago but is still bleeding can anyone tell me y . i am not going to the vets .. she is still eating and doesnt seem toi be in any distress
!!!

I am planning a sterilization procedure for my 1 year-old female cat. But when talked to several vets, they gave me conflicting answers. Some told, even if we sterilized our cat she can continue having same mating attacks, like meowing all the time or crawling on floor and suffering diarrhoea because 20% of hormones are controlled by brain rather than the ovarium. But some told, she will never have those things again due to the operation! I do not my cat suffer again after the operation but now I am frustrated? what should I do? and whom should I trust?

My boyfriends mum & dad have a tortoise called Toby, and have had him for about 15 years and he lives in the garden quite happily but the other day, Toby laid an egg!
We don't know too much about this and just wondered if anyone had any info?? Unfortunately, after 'he' had laid the egg in a hole 'he' had dug, Toby squashed the egg.
Not sure what breed Toby is but 'he's' definately not a Herman Tortoise, 'his' shell is quite flat and 'he's' about 30cm long.
Any idea why 'he' had laid an egg and why now after 15 years of not doing it??
Any help is appreciated.......

I have a clear/white Mollie and a black Mollie. A month or so ago her belly started growing so I thought she was pregnant. I put her in a breeding net, but still no babies. Its been awhile and her belly has gotten bigger... Now her back looks arched and her belly looks kind of square at the bottom, but since it has been so long I am wondering if maybe I was wrong and should put her back in with the other fish. Anyone have an advice? I don't know much about fish so please don't be technical!

My cat has been missing for about 5 days and she finaly showed up tonight with a cut on her rear and dislocated leg. I called the emergency vet and they told me to hold off until tomorrow morning to bring her in.. I was just wondering if anyone has treated their cat for a dislocated leg and how much their vet bill was.

Can these 3 animals live in the same house? I can close the door to where the dwarf hamsters are but I'm still concerned for their safety I don't want to come home to find them being eaten by the new kitten he wants (which will soon turn into an adult cat). Anyone else tried this?

I recently bought another albino tiny catfish to go with my other one!! How can i tell if the catfish is having babies and do they lay eggs or give birth?? Thing is when i went to but some more fish i got male guppies to go with males at home as i didnt want babies, i also got this albino catfish from another tank but didnt think to ask the sex. I have a male catfish at home already and now the albino catfish has a black spot on it belly and a shadow in its tummy!! How do i sex it and know if its pregnant or not??

when i go pick up my wife from work i put or lab in our back yard and today he some how got out and was struck by a car right in front of our house and now has a broken left rear leg we are have some money problems right now and im worried about the cost to fix his leg we got home at 10pm and that was when we found him i called our vet and the answering service told me to take him to the animal hospital that they would help me thier so i went and all they did was look at him (in my arms), tell me that his leg was broken and to go to my vet in the morrning and charged me $150.00 just for that. any ways im hoping someone here has had some experience with this and might know how much it might cost to fix him up..

a week before i saw these little white worm looking things in her stool. She has bad diarrhea and she looks helpless. she still eats though. The vet told me he couldn't do anything about it because she's so small and just got this pill and shot a week ago and can't get it in another 2 weeks because it may be to strong and may kill her.

My sulcata just lay 20 eggs. I have a chick incubator that was given to me. What are the procedure that is needed to incubate my sulcata eggs? I'm been doing some research online some say to incubate them in a closed container, and some say to incubate them in an open container? Can Yahoo Answer provide me with a definite answer as to how to incubate the eggs? Also a exact detail as to what are the procedure and what stuff to look for doing incubation. Do I need to spray mist water on the eggs? Thanks.

i think that my jackson's has mouth rot. first of all, what could it be caused by, and second, what do i do to treat it. his left side of his mouth looks a little inflamed, and he has it slightly open all the time. if that sounds like mouth rot, otherwise, i dont know.

I have an Eclipse system 12 that I am setting up as a nano tank. It has 20lbs of live sand in it, along with 6lbs of live rock. I am planning on adding another 6lbs tomorrow. I added bio-zyme to it today (it is the first day that it has been running), and plan to continue every day for 7 days per the instructions. My question is how long till the tank is cycled? Also, when I can start adding invertebrates (like shrimp and hermit crabs)? How long after than can I add fish? I am wanting to have 2 false percula (sp?) clowns, a clown goby, a shrimp or two (depending on what kind I decide to go with), a few feather dusters, and hermit crabs. Is that too much? I know that I cannot add all of them a once, but that I should add the clowns at the same time. I have had experience with salt tanks in the past, but it has been a while and I have never had a tank that small. Thank you for your help.

I have a few questions on what I should do for my re-design of my hermit crab's habitat.

1: For a second level, I am thinking of using supports drilled through the side of the tank for support. What metal would be safe for crabs? Stainless steel maybe?

2: What can I use to keep mold from forming in the tank. When I tried to keep the substrate moist, mold grew on about $30 worth of supplies (Luckily, not the crabs) and I had to toss all of it. What chemical stops mold and is safe for crabs?

3: Is there a way to keep standing water in a crab habitat? I can not come up with anything to solve this problem. Ideas?

Sorry to cram so much in one question, but It's better than spaming the categorey with individual questions. Thanks!

I know i have more pets then the avaerage person but when people come over thet say thangs like are you running a zoo. All my pets are well tooken care of, spioled actually. If they get sick they go to thew vet, I love them just as if they were my kids, and my kids enjoy them to. They learn alot from our pets. Well this is what we have, 2 female blue pit bulls,1 male blue pit bull, 1 male blue fawn pit bull, 1 blue chihuahua, 1 rott/ pit mix, 1blue piont himalayan, 1 torti piont himalayan, 1 lylac piont himilayan, a california king snake, 2 cockatiels, a rabbit. a ferret, and about 10 african cichlid fish.

we found baby robins that are no near close to flying yet. we called the wildlife foundation and we can't bring them there until tomorrow..we need to know how warm to keep them over night.

Alright my dog has ticks and she has been getting bit constantly by ticks. When we take off the ticks they leave a mark. So I was wondering when those marks would go a way.

Also my other dog in the morning has goop in her eyes and my mom was wondering y she keeps getting them. Please help my dogs.
