I'm assuming there are no snails that would make a snack out of my tiny shrimp! :D I'd like to add some mystery snails to their tank

No its not a problem to add snails to your baby shrimp tank. Snails are really slow (snails pace :-) ) to catch up with your shrimps and make them dinner.

Moreover, if you feed your snail properly, it would be too busy sleeping most of the time rather than checking out on your baby shrimps. Go ahead.

:-)

You might want to be careful about what type of snail you add. Some types will eat frozen brine shrimp (added as a fish food), so at night, they may eat baby shrimp that are at rest. Mystery (apple) snails are one type that will eat brine shrimp, so maybe you'd better wait till the shrimp are a little larger: http://www.applesnail.net/

snails are generals plant eaters, they should be ok, just remeber once you put snails in your tank they are not as easy to get rid of and can overrun your tank, at which time you could get a clown loach but they may eat your shrimp.
