I have 5 females and 2 males, I am not just jumping into this, I have advisors, have all the equipment, kennels, and will be a very responsible breeder. I love the breed. Any advice would be much appreciated. Coloring - females - 1 long coat b/t w silver, 1 b/t, 1 bicolor, 1 rust color (i have heard it called red sable, but there is no black on it), & 1 tan sable. Males - 1 b/t (light tan, almost cream) and 1 cream sable. A really beautiful dog, very rare, I have heard that it is kind of a white dilute.

My 15 week old kitten just peed on the floor and I'm not sure why. I have two litter boxes and at the time he didn't have access to one of them, he hasn't been nuetered yet (his appt. is next week), and he wasn't in spray stance (I saw him do it). I didn't scold him or yell or anything because I was more concerned if there was some kind of problem, he has NEVER done this before. Any advice???

When I fed my fish this morning, I noticed that one of my brilliant rasboras was quite pale, and his body looked almost like it was covered in a thin layer of slime. A few short stringy strands of slime are hanging off his body. (They’re not very long.) Only one fish is affected, and he was behaving normally – eating, swimming, etc.

I had to be to work before the pet store opened, but I will stop by on my home. I will, of course, ask what they think I ought to treat with. I have Melafix, but I didn’t put any in the tank. If the infection is fungal, I figured it wouldn’t do a whole lot of good, and I’d rather treat the fish properly than guess at it and do more harm.

Anybody have any idea what this infection is, where it came from, and how to treat it?

20 gallon
2 glass catfish
3 brilliant rasboras
1 pineapple swordtail
1 susnet platy

Is there anything I can do to help prevent a newly adopted 6 yr old male shelter cat from spraying? He will be neutered on Friday, pick him up on Saturday. We have a 4 yr old spayed female cat. We will keep them separate for a while. I will buy some Rescue Remedy and put it on both cats before bringing the new one into his room. Any advice to prevent spraying would be helpful.

We have a 3 yr old German Shepard cross. She's kennel trained, but we started leaving her kennel door open (giving her the option of getting out) about 3 months ago because the hours my husband and I work have changed and she sometimes is alone all day, and she has had a weak bladder since her spay. I've only caught her on the couch once, and gave her a stern talking to, but it's difficult to enforce since we never see her on there. Any tips?

one of my dogs is a maltese, the other is a schnauzer. They didn't have this problem when they were puppies.Seem to have surfaced when they hit adulthood....Their condition looks like what a human skin allergy---eczema. Medicine and change in diet don't seem to work very well.

We just got two kittens, one is a tan/brown/white calico cat, which my family named Cally.

The other one is black with a white spot of hair just below its neck in the front. I'm not sure what to name it. I want something unique with a meaning. Not too unique, but at least somewhat.

My only idea so far is Kiara, which means small and dark.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I have a very sweet beagle puppy, but as with all beagles, he's fairly stubborn. How can I tell if he knows that I am the alpha male, or maybe he just has a typical stubborn beagle will?

I have a pretty good size Angel Fish that is probably 2-3 years old. I inherited from my ex wife who had him in a 5 gallon tank that you couldn't even see into it was so green. I nursed him back to health and have had for a year now. When I fed them yesterday he didn't eat which is unheard for for him. Today he was face down at the bottom of the tank and when I moved him a little he swam around with no control(on his side, upright, like having no balance).

Any ideas what could be causing this? 30 gallon tank, regular water changes, I monitor my water quality, no new fish for 6+months.

One odd thing I need to mention. He is a Zebra Striped Angel. From his mouth up to his dorsal fin along the top is kind of a rusty color. I just figured it was natural. I added a white Veiled Angel about 6-7 months ago that was completely white, but I noticed it has developed this rusty color along the top as well.

Any help is appreciated. I don't want to lose Bubba after all he has gone through.

I've heard that being in heat can cause complications during the spaying surgery, and I'm not sure if she's been in heat already or not- I've never noticed any blood or anything. I've been putting off the surgery because I've had no time off until this summer. Now that I have a few days off, I want to get her spayed, but I know I'm going to get asked if she's been in heat yet since she's an older puppy now. I don't want to say 'no' and then they do the surgery and there be complications.

Is there really that much more risk?

And no I'm not going to barbeque him. Ok we did once five or six years ago, his tail fell off. Really it wasn't that good. Tail is back and I can't keep him anymore due to my health problems. Where can he go and live a long healthy life?
