I just found my turtle dead, and he was immobile, nor did he look in my general direction for two weeks before he died. Do you think he was depressed?

I'm still rather new to my black mollies, but when I got them home, their poop was a normal yellowish color. Now, I noticed it is more of a neon pinkish orangeish. I feed them tetracolor. But what does the flourescent waste mean? Is it bad or okay?

ok to feed puppies to snakes. The only reason i'm asking this question is because here in Arizona there is a case where a man fed a puppy to a snake (in front of 2 teenagers) and was arrested for it. People buy mice, rats, and rabbits and sometimes even have them "pre-killed" at the petstore for the purpose of food for their snake. They are all Mammals...

I have a 7 year old neutered male husky. We got him when he was 2 and had him neutered then. He had problems with marking in the past but nothing like this. My fiance died last year and my dog had to stay with various friends for a year until I got a new home. He was getting shuffled around everywhere so I know WHY he's marking but I can't stop it.

To make things worse, the home I bought had a faint scent of cat pee when I moved in and it got worse once I was living there. I've tried: steam cleaning the carpet twice, pouring on enzyme cleaners, and vinegar/water then baking soda and peroxide with dish soap. It helps but then the smell comes back.

Now I have my dog back and have him on Clomicalm for separation anxiety but he is marking in the house. It's all over the house so confining him to one area won't work. I walk him as much as I can but I have to work all day and can't really quit my job. It's too hot to keep him outside all day. I limit his water when I'm at work.

my dog is a 3 yr old deaf aussie that is normally sweet and loving towards everyone in my family, as well as my friends, but lately he's been lunging at my mother and growling at my little brother who's 8. i'm 19 and live at home so i can save money since i'm in college. he used to do things like this when he was a puppy before we had him neutered, which was almost 2 years ago. i've tried to walk him to keep him from having too much exercise and he is trained to sit, come, and lie down with sign language. does anyone have any ideas? if i can't get him under control, i'm going to have to put him down, and i really don't want to do that.

I have this new reef ready aquarium. It comes with a sump, pump, a few powerheads, a protein skimmer, lights, filter, heater, and crush corals. At first I wanted to turn it into a freshwater tank with a few frontosa, but all of the other equiptment will be wasted. Can you guys tell me what else im missing other than salt and live rocks. I dont know how much salt to put in it. Also can you guys tell me what is the annual cost of running a saltwater fish tank. I'm planning to make it a fish only aquarium with a few pounds of live rock and live sand. I prefer to have one or 2 lion fish only.

ok so i have a mini doxen puppy and shes usually really hyper and playful and usually doesn't wear a collar [only a harness to walk] , but we just bought her a collar the other day and when we put it on her she all of a sudden gets really calm, tired, and almost lethargic. The weird thing is, when we take it off she goes back ot being hyper and we jokingly put it on when she gets out of control and it calms her down.

does anyone know why this happens or has had it happen to their dog.

do you think she just feels weird? and will she always be like this?

Ok so I have an African Dwarf frog in my tank. I am pretty sure they breathe oxygen so I was think could I evovle my frog? I know that for it to live it must not dry out so I would like to prove it with moisture other then just a tank of water. I also know that when you are in water you are lighter and so the frog may have a hard time because it has weaker muscles that work under water and not on land. I think that if I slowly make it have less water then it will possibly adapt. What are your thouhts on this? Is there anything I have over looked?

I adopted my puppy from a shelter in New Orleans at 11 weeks, now she's 7 mo. She was found a stray w/ 2 sibilings & no mom. The shelter said she's prob a german shepherd/chow but she's so small (32 lbs). Even though she was prob born a stray she acts as if she's been abused. She's terrified of most men, cautious of most women. She's extremely intelligent- learns fast & figured out how to escaped from her crate. She likes to climb on top of dressers/tables. She loves other dogs, and the 5% of people she's not scared of she LOVES. She is high energy, loves to chew bones & tear up paper. She must be hypoallergenic b/c my bf is allergic to most dogs, and not her. Her hair is short. She is very phobic, scared of anything w/ wheels, & storms. She doesn't bark at strangers or other dogs, just hides if she's scared. She will bark if shes in her crate & wants to get out.
Any ideas what she could be? Go here for pics:

A neighbor brought me this bundle of joy. She will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. She is the only survivor of the litter. My neighbor took the mom to the vet because she was having siezures. The mom lost the other pups due to lack of milk. The vet told her to find a nursing mom for the pup. Well I have raised alot of orphan kittens so they thought I was the person to do the job. Well Now i need your help. What can I feed her to get her thru the night? I have tried bottle feeding her whole milk and she was suckle. I rub'd her and she hasn't went potty yet either. The poor thing was smoothered in fleas also. I used some kitty shampoo and got them ALL off tho, what a job that was. Now if only I could get her to eat and go potty. PLease Help!. I named her Josie. Sorry for the typos but I am a bit worried for the pup right now.

Every otc product that is for kittens says 12 weeks or older. Even the associate at PetsMart said there wasn't anything in the store for a kitten that small. Is the vet my only option?

First off, I will be honest. I have been neglecting my oscar slightly recently. I feed him maybe once a week, although, This has been the case for years, and he has done fine. I have been slacking in the water changeouts. About a week ago, "moldy/foamish" looking stuff began to form around decayed food in the corner. I thought nothing of it, and prepared to change out the water the next day. The next day I was unable to change it due to an emergency work call , all day yesterday, the fisgh was laying on his side, near dead, with a white fungus/mold all over him, and his fins appeard to be "rotting" away. We did a 10 gallow change out(out of 30 gallons) last night, and another 10 gallon last night, in hopes it would help, and as of now, there is still minimal signs of life among the fish.

Please help

I have 2 , they are young...will fit in the palm of your hand. As far as I know, one is male...not sure about the other. They seem to get along fine together. They used to be out in the open quite a bit. But now, they seem to stay in their hiding places most of the time. One is fairly calm, but the other still runs away if you walk into the room. I've tried feeding them some live food...meal worms, and they have also eaten moths before. Any suggestions about them...how to get them to calm down. I try to let them see me feed them, but they always seem to run and hide. Tell me about any experience/suggestions anyone has with these.

I've adopted a new baby kitten I found under my friend's porch. She was 2 weeks old when I found her, totally abandoned by her mother, and I've been bottle feeding her since then. Now she's about 5 or 6 weeks old, going to the bathroom on her own, and so now I'm trying to get her to eat hard kitty food. I'll put some in a small bowl, moisten it, and put it in front of her, but she'll just stare at it, then walk away and then cry for a bottle. I'll leave it out for her and offer it to her at the next feeding time, but she still won't touch it!! I've even tried putting formula in a bowl to see if she would drink out of it, but she won't even do that. I don't know if not having a mommy cat for her to mimic is the dilema, but I've done everything I can think of and now I'm desperate for some help. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what I can do to help her start eating hard food?

I got home today and found an empty box of milkbones on the floor. He managed to open the pantry and got a hold of them. I left toys for him around along with raw hide and a stuffed kong. But i noticed he didn't even touch them. He also went throught the trash and left a mess. I know he was bored out of his mind if he was doing this. I take him for 2 - 1 hour walks everyday. Well i know he is going to get sick. so what do you guys recomend?
