I would be calling the vet personally. An entire box of raisins can mean anything- Small child packs? Those giant boxes that seem to weigh a couple pounds some stores carry? 10 pounds is fairly small, raisins are poisons, and your dog possibly ate a large amount. At the very least expect some loose stool, and a need to keep an eye on your pup. Calling the vet is absolutely free though so what could it hurt calling?

Hey might vomit and he might get diarrhea. I'm not sure if this will make him extremely ill because what he ate is made for dogs. That's the good part. If he starts vomiting and it doesn't seem to let up or become less severe, he will need a vet. Same thing with the diarrhea. If he starts showing other signs like lethargy, no desire to eat or drink, or if he just seems sick, you may want to have him checked out by the vet. Also, you can get "Baby" locks for your pantry drawers and cabinets. They can be found at any store like Target, Walmart, KMart, etc. - Your other option is to crate him when you are gone. What kind of dog and how much does he weigh?

You need to keep a radio on or the TV so your dog will think someone is there all the time. I don't think your dog will get sick if it ate a whole box of milkbones.

I would not worry about the Milk Bones, they are dog food. Dogs can get fat from eating too much.
I would be more worried about what he might have gotten out of the trash. Keep an eye on him. If he gets sick and can't keep food or water down get him to an emergency vet.
I had a pup that got into the trash and swallowed a corn cob that blocked her and cost $3000 for emergency surgery.

what do you mean by a mess? hmm... he should be fine, if he starts puking, i suggest takining him to the vet because they can do many things to help. Next time, leave the milkbones elsewhere, where your positive he can't reach. If the box was giant, don't feed him dinner, wait till breafast. if it's a fairly small one, he should be fine cuz that's almost equivelent to his normal dinner except with more calories.

I say that you should crate him when you leave, if he can't be trusted, he needs to be crated, will save the things in your house, and will save him from killing himself.
Oh and get ready for diarrhea with that box of milk bones he consumed.. If he asks to go out, he is serious!

Let him eat grass, and be ready to clean up lots of stuff...
The grass will make him puke, and well, if you can, try and contain him somewhere where you're not having to worry about the mess...
I have total emapathy for you, my friend. Good luck.

If it is the type of cabinet that has knobs put an elastic around them so he cant open them, you could also buy a plastic baby proof thingy to put inside so he cant open it.
To keep him busy leave the tv on or buy those plastic things to put treating that he has to play with so they fall out. Or, hide treats around the house before you leave ....

Well, its just like a child eating too much candy.. theres just not much you can do. Just hope he doesn't throw up.. I pretty sure that its not going to make him deathly sick.. maybe just a tummy ache and then again, he may just not want any dinner tonight.... Don't worry! :-)

I would just leave the dog alone if it gets sick and throws up thats good. But if he is ok and I would just leave him maybe give him another walk maybe he will take a nice poop.
