I feed my cat canned food twice a day, and give her the dry cat food if she's hungry between those times. We keep her food bowl in the laundry room. However, when someone goes into the kitchen, it doesnt matter if she just ate, she thinks you should feed her. She starts meowing and making chirping noises nonstop. We play with her all the time, she gets plenty of attention, she's held and petted alot. But most of the time when this happens we're all really busy, and can't do that at that moment. We've been worming her regularly as well. She hides every toy we buy for her. Sometimes I even crack the door open enough to where she cant go outside, but can "converse" with the outside cats. It actually looks like that's what theyre doing. Having a friendly conversation. Anyway, is there any way to break her of this behavior? Would it help her if I gave her a stuffed animal that was not too big but big enough that she couldnt easily hide it? Cat lovers, i need your opinion!

Is it true that if you hold baby kittens and puppies too much it gives them worms?

My mom always told me that and we just recently got a kitten. My little sister is always holding him and totes him around everywhere even tho we tell her not to. How can we make her stop?

My cat is 12 years old, he has lost weight, down to 8 lbs. He has had a growth on his face. The doctor removed some teeth and told me it was an infection. After 2 weeks of anitibotics the growth is worse. He drools and just stares at me. I took him back to the dr, and he is going to do a biopsy tomorrow. He thinks its cancer since it is so hard, and I kind of feel the same. My husband and I are splitting up and I am moving this weekend. I have 2 other 1 year old cats. I had planned to take them all. If its cancer, my choices are put him to sleep that day, or bring him home until he gets worse. Then I have to deside to bring him with me to my new apartment, and we all know cats dont like change. Or I could leave him with my husband at the house until its time, but would he be lonely for me and the other cats? I really am confussed and need some advice. This has been going on with Harry for about 4 months, he is very needed and does not let the other kittens around me.

I'm just wondering what the symptoms are for a fish dying. My own fish is a good few years old now and it's swimming slightly squint (ie. leaning to one side) and there's less orange scales than there used to be.

The children's mother died a few years ago, so they understand death but I don't know how to explain that this box of ashes is all that's left of our dog or how to explain how she got to be just ashes.

This her http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8546329
I adopted her from the pound last week and I just can't get a name going for her. She's the sweetest thing. I've been calling her Little Bit but she's way too cute for that. I've tried on several names (Peaches, Suzi, I wanted Buttons but my husband says that's too sissy) & nothing really fits yet. I have another the same as her named Lexi. Can you help me name her? Who does she look like to you?

My boyfriend Marty and I share a 7 yr old Boxer "Neo". Neo is very playful, mindful, loves attention, affection and is territorial, we have no other pets in the house.
Over the last two years Neo has attacked 2 other dogs in the neighborhood, one male one female, from inside the house thru a door where entering from or exiting. One did have a $250.00 vet bill (puncture wounds) we paid, the other was minor. In winter went camping and he was tied up, bolted out after a kid (age 10-12) broke his collar, grabbed boy by the sleeve lucky thing, Marty was there to hold Neo down. Sad thing is I told him Neo seems to be vicious, and his behaviors scare me, maybe we should put Neo to sleep. Marty said Neo is territorial, and the kid should not have walked by to create the dog to bolt. The boy did nothing but walk by. Last week a cat got in the yard, Neo bolted after the cat and killed it ... Marty told me today about it. Marty has had Neo since a puppy, Should Neo be put down?

I just got a 10 week old puppy Maltese/toy poodle mix. He is very sweet, gentle and good-natured, but when I can't watch him and need to do chores like wash the dishes, I put him in a nearby room with an exercise pen in it. The problem is he cries and whines persistently, even though I have put in the pen a nice little bed with a couple of my shirts with my scent as well as little toys. He might let up a tiny bit, but as soon as I may walk by, he is as loud as ever. I have ignored this for up to 1.5 hours and then I eventually go into the room and step in the pen and play with him a bit before taking him out. Should I not be putting him in the pen at all during the day? As long as he knows I am in the house, he does not stop crying and barking very loudly.

The bowl scrapes the ground when he eats. That's his new fear, so he dosen't eat. I got one of those fancy bowls with a soft bottom but still. And then my other dog, she's slick she'll eat all the fancy soft food only even when I mix it, and leave him the hard food so he won't have that incentive to eat. I've been leaving food on the floor for him but I can't keep it up. He has to be trained to eat from the bowl. Any ideas?

My dog was diagnosed with Canine Cushing's Disease and I feel there is something else going on? I live in a small town in Louisiana the vets here are awesome, but this is not something they see everyday. They have been really helpful and they have recommended some other Vets, but I was wondering if anyone here would know a Vet that may know something about this. I do not mind driving outside of the state, I just want to find someone I can at least talk to or something???

He is a Medieval Spandoria Dragon. Not yet fire-breathing, but he will soon. He is relatively small now (can fit into a doghouse), but will soon have to put him in the garage.

Main thing, I know, is to keep him secret--night flight only. But I am also a bit concerned about what to feed him. I've heard of a couple of cow mutilations at the dairy up the road, but I can't be sure it was Stradivar (that's the name I gave him).

I don't want him to prey on someone's livelihood. I've actually thought of moving to south Florida and letting him feed on the gators and larger game in the Everglades. But as you know, dragons hibernate, and without the cue of cold weather and snow, they may not do so, and this could cause trouble. Also, the heat down there is bad, and dragons fare better in more temperate climates (mid- to northern European temperatures, but not artic like temperatures--except for Snow Dragons).

Your thoughts?

I have had my dog for a month now and noticed that when we are outside the flies go right to his ear tips. Why are they doing that? Can it get infected? He did have his ears clipped (Which I'm against totally) b4 I got him.

I've recently adopted a dog. She is small sized and the food she eats is Kibbles 'n Bits. (http://www.kibblesnbits.com/varieties/original.aspx)

I am suppose to feed her about 1.5 cups of food per day. I was wondering if I should put all of that in her bowl for her to eat at once, of if I should split her feeding into two times a day. So.. I would feed her about 3/4 cup twice a day.

Which is better? Or does it even matter?

Thank you ♥
