In most cases, pugs need to have a cesarean section to give birth. If you have a pregnant pug, your vet will probably give you a date to come in and have the c-section.
"Pugs do not whelp their own puppies well and often require C-section surgery. And many dams may not want anything to do with their puppies the first week of birth, so breeding a litter of fragile pug puppies is a job that requires constant attention".

Pugs can give birth naturally, but they do often need C-sections. That's why anyone expecting a litter of pugs needs to stay home when the mom is due and have the vet on call.

Oh God. Why would you do this to your pug? You don't know what the heck your doing and your going to put your pug through this. Get her spayed. Enjoy your pug. Cesareans are very common in pugs and in case you don't know pugs can be bad mothers. That means you will have to feed the pups every 2 hours. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't have at least $2500.00 in the bank to pay for an emergency C-section then you shouldn't breed a litter. This goes for any breed but some breeds like Pugshave a very high rate of emergency C sections.

If something can get pregnant, something can give birth. It's nature. And don't listen to whoever says they need a cesarean---listen to your vet. A phone call will do it. No charge

Depends on the b*tch.
Pugs have relatively narrow hips and large heads. They often need to be born via c-section.
