Ok, everone's been bothering me cuz i am selling my dog !!! i'm sorry i want him 2 have a better home than he has now [ bcause im gone most of the day ] and plus i will be gone for a whole month beetween july&august. And i'm not exactly the most responsible person!? WHY CAN'T PPL UNDERSTND THAT I'M DOING IT FOR THE GOOD OF THE DOG???!!!??!?!?!?!?!?

Because people are stupid and want you to think like they do. I understand they are probably thinking that if you didn't want the dog you shouldn't have got it in the first place but many people fail to think about how life changes can have an impact on this type of decision. It may also be because you are selling it instead of surrendering it. An animal "should" be considered a friend and not property but the whole Louisiana FEMA rescue fiasco showed us how that thinking worked out. I had a keeshound I had to give up because I just couldn't spend the time with her and she wasn't allowed to be an indoor dog. She needed room to roam and we were able to find a couple who could do that. Just ignore them and know what you are doing is for the good of the animal and you're trying not to be selfish. I may have given up a dog years ago but now I rescue ferrets. One door closes and another opens.

Boy, I sure understand! I'm glad you are getting him a new home. Obviously you know he deserves better. The people who don't understand that shouldn't have pets.

i completely agree w/ u. just make sure if ur selling ur dog, that u dont just give him/her to whoever. just make sure u look into the family u give ur dog to. make sure the dog will actually be getting a better home. ask them Qs (sry to lecture i just wanted to confirm how ur going to sell the dog)

i understand. i have had to rehome one of my cats and one of my ferrets before, for your same reason, to give them a better life. don't let other people on here make you feel bad about actually doing the right thing.
