So sometime during Thursday night, my dog threw up all over the place. Ever since then, she's been really lethargic and won't get up easily. When I call her, it's like she wants to get up, so she'll walk a couple slow steps, then she'll sit back down like she's in pain. She won't eat. Even bigger problem is that I'm a teenager, and my parents aren't home. When they get home later, I'm going to force them to take her to the vet, but until then, does anyone know what this could be?

-I called both of my parents, they aren't going to be home for at least an hour at the earliest, there isn't a way for them to get home earlier. I don't really know anyone who would take me to the vet. No one seems as worried about it as me.
-I don't know about the last time she pooped because she's mostly an outside dog.
-I just let her in, and she's walking around more, but it's kind of a strange walk. She walks slow and seems like shes a little off-balance.

it could literally be a million things.... anyone who suggests something would only be wildly guessing.
she DOES need to go to a vet TODAY, even if its an emergency one.

No one on YA answers can tell you what is wrong with the dog because we can not see through the screen. The dog has been suffering since Thursday, so the urgent thing that needs to be done is to get the dog to the vet.

Does her eyes dart back and forth? Does she stumble or just sit down?
If her eyes dart back and forth and she stumbles it could be vestibular syndrome.
My dog had vestibular syndrome which is a condition where the nerve that connects the inner ear (gives a sense of balance) to the brain gets damages somehow. There is no treatment and she will recover (sort of) as she learns to adapt to not having the cues from her inner ear to tell her which way is up.
I agree with everyone else, get her to a vet ASAP!

Dont make her walk or get excited over anything, keep her calm, keep her warm, cover her with something snug, stay by her side and supervise her constantly, if she is drinking, make sure she always has water at hand. How old is your dog? are her stoos normal? This could be some kind of poisoning and she REALLY NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO A VET IMMEDIATELY, maybe you could call your parents and ask them to hurry up, she needs to be really seen as soon as possible, meanwhile , talk to her soothingly and comfort her as much as you can, sorry i couldnt be of much help

It could be many things. Whatever it is, its serious and she needs a vet, especially if this has been going on for 2 days. Can you call your parents or get someone else to take you? I wouldn't delay at this point.

This can be an extremely serious problem You need to get her to the VET as soon as possible.
Until you can just try to leave her alone. Make her as comfotable as possible.
Good Luck and I hope everything will be ok.

check her colour, lift her top lip, look at her gums and inside lip, this should be pink colour, if she is ill the colour will be pale, light pink or white, if it is very pale, i would consider going to the vet asap, also keep her from walking around in case of leg injury, keep her warm and try get her to drink water, good luck.

Get her to the vet NOW, it sounds like Parvo, which can be deadly if not treated.

Don't worry too much she probably ate something that didn't agree with her . Sounds like she'll heal on her own.
