WE had a nest near our pool house and the eggs hatched last week. We noticed yesterday that the birds were looking for food each time we passed it. There were lots of people over. Today, there was only one actively asking for food. the other two were barely moving/breathing. We brought the nest in and started giving sugar water from a syringe i had from work with a fine tip. After about 3 hours, we moved onto egg yolks mixed with sugar water. The birds have eaten every 15 to 20m minutes and two are pooping normally, one has a diarhea stool. any advice. We stopped feeding 30 mintues ago and have moved them to a bed of old towels as advised in one site surrounded by hot water bottles to maintain some heat source. What should we expect to do for tomorrow and are we doing everything correctly? What can we expect for the next week/two weeks.
Thanks very much

We have a himalayan kitty who loves to eat our dog's kibble. Is this enough nutrition for her?

I have an unaltered pit mix that has been having accidents in the house. He is approximately 8mos-1yr. He mostly pees in the house, although he has defecated once inside. It is not possible to neuter him currently, because he is a stray I found 4 days ago, and I am still in the process of finding his owner (although I believe he was abandoned). He pees inside even when we are home, but in the other room. And, he's even peed right in front of the storm door whilst looking outside! He has signaled to go out before by scratching on the door, so I really can't figure out why he doesn't do it all the time. Should I begin crate training him as if he were a young puppy? I just got him a crate, should I leave him in all the time until he's housebroken? Or should I do something different? I've never had to go through this with my other dog, she came pre-trained and she's fastidious with her pottying, and has never had an accident. HELP!

I have been told he is a Maine Coon but he doesn't have the maine part around his face. He is short & small but is really long. He is 2 years old yet he is still half the size of my other adult cats.

pictures of him:

My mom is getting a puppy (Beagle) today and it's only 4 weeks old, it's eating dry food already and is totally weaned from it's mother. I heard that the puppy can get sick and die from being away from it's mother too soon.

Before you say anything I'm not deadset on getting a ferret I still have a lot of researching to do and questions to ask. I was wondering about how much the total cost for a ferret or two is?Including the 2 ferrets, cage, food, litter, vet checkup, and other stuff. Not the lifetime vet cost but the first checkup(s) fee?

We just got a 9 week old lab/retriever/shepard mix and he breaths very fast. Not really panting just breathing as fast as a normal dog pants. Is this ok?

I live in the State of Florida in the city of St Pete....does anyone know the law in regards to cats entering in neighbors yard and infesting the yard with fleas? I have heard that all pets should be on leashes and on their own property. I dont want to be rude but these fleas are getting way out of hand and covering my body and I am getting ill from them...maybe I am allergic as well....Kinda scared of my reactions to these flea bites....

Please let me know ANYTHING....

if you dog is bad how do u punish it ?
( i know how personally but i would like to know how every1 else does it )

personally if my dog ignores me 1nce i tell them off 2wice and i tap them on the nose. if they steel out of my hand pee on the floor or raid the bin they get a chase out to the garden a shout and a push out the bum on the way out.
if they do anything like fight with another dog, growl at me or kill an animal. a slap on the bum and out the garden for 20 mins. if they kill an amimal they are out there for 1hour.

is this the normal way to punish a dog?

I have a 35 gal freshwater tank and recently dropped a couple of red lily plant bulbs in. One has bloomed beautifuly and the other has started. A couple of days ago I noticed a green algae growing on the tank glass and even on some stones. It's not like the normal "fine" algae I've had that comes off easily with my magnet cleaner. It's larger and "thicker". Could the plants be the cause or something else? I do have a plecostomus. Also, is it ok for the fish if I leave the light on all the time?

I went away on vacation for two weeks, leaving fish feedings to my brother. When I came back home 5 tetras were dead, two male guppies, and one African dwarf frog. I did about a 50% water change everything was fine. One week later my friend told me to do another 50% water change. now one female baby guppy is swimming in the corner staring at the corner, and a male mollie is resting on the rocks at the bottom of the tank, but still alive. What should I do immiadietly? Tommorow i might have time to stop at a fish store...

I am starting a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium. I added the live sand first and then filled the tank up with water. After this was done I read in a book that I should have done this in reverse order. Now the water is very murky. My questions are these: Is this a really big deal that I did it in this order? Should I wait for the water to settle first before adding the salt? Should I wait for the water to settle before turning on the filter? Any other suggestions?

I got a newfie/collie mix...all black and while I'm not a fan of shaving or cutting short a dogs coat....my babe is melting whenever it gets over 70 degrees lol. So bought a Wahl pet clipper off ebay (used) It's supposed to be a good one, I believe it would be like a medium or heavy duty type. I tried it on her yesterday and the motor first of all doesn't seem to run as fast as I expected (I was thinking the speed of an electric shaver?) as soon as I tried to clip her (using 1/2" comb attachment) the motor goes waaaay down slow, and all it does is clump and jam her hair into the blades. The instructions said something about sharpening the blades, but I'm wondering if that is all it is or does the clipper sound defected? Don't really want to spend extra $ on blades if the unit is toast lol. I know it's hard to say without seeing it.

Oh, also it said something about an adjustable power screw thats supposed to regulate wattage or something like that. Could this be the problem?
