It depends. Were they hatched and free swimming before you took dad out of the tank? If they were swimming like a normal fish before you took him out and now not swimming at all then they may be dead, but it would be from lack of food. If you took dad out before that point then they can die from getting too deep in the tank and not being able to make it to the surface to fill their labyrinth organ the first time. Dad stays in the tank so long to bring them back to the surface all the time for the first day or two before they become free swimming.

Most likely you took the male out to early. You should have left him in the tank until most of the fry were free swimming. Floating up and down is not free swimming. You might have some in there that will make it. Next time be more patient and do more research.

Try putting food in the tank to see if they respond to it
fish never turn down food =]
they dont seem to go to investigate it or not move around or something then maybe their dead =\

prima cosa se ti stai ponendo questo problema non capisci un kazzo di pesci, poi sono di conseguenza sicuro che nemmeno hai dei baby bettas che tra l'altro si chiamano in inglese fry fish. tutto cio mi fa capire che nella tua tank c'e la muffa che di conseguenza ti aiuta a tenere solo pesci morti che forse nemmeno hanno la forza i galleggiare, quindi se vuoi un consiglio da uno che oltre alla fika s'i intende di pesci, butta via quella tank piena i paassiti che non piacciono nemmeno ai pipistrelli, e cambia hobby.

I would take something and see if there is any moment is maybe 5 minutes if it isnt moving any flush it down the toliet
