For big I have to go with golden retrievers - I am 11 years old and have already had 2 in my life - if I had to choose small I'd say a toy poodle - I hate wimpy Chiuauas. I do like boxers too, but they're not by favorite!

My personal fav. is the american pitbull terrier. I have always owned pitbulls, they are very smart dogs and always loving. Of course there are people that will say pits are evil or vicious. Most of the time this is not true pits are very playful and none of my pits have ever bit an adult or a child. I am a police officer and in my experience more actual bites come from retriever type dogs or pitbull mixes not pure pitbulls. And in the few cases of actual pitbull bites the dog was doing its job of protecting its owners home/yard. Pitbulls are very strong dogs, i would venture to say the strongest per pound. I love pitbulls and i am always on the lookout or ppl fighting these beautiful animals, i have a nice set of shiny bracelets for them (CUFFS)!

My all time favorite dog was a lab-retriever cross, he was a great buddy of mine for 10 years. I currently have a Chow/Collie who is great and a Shitzu/Terrier we just got is a lot of fun too. I also deliver to a lot of homes in rural areas and run into around 150 dogs/week, all are very friendly except one. I just love 'em all.
