I have information regarding nutrional deficiencies but cannot find anything about excess. If anybody could provide some sources that may help me write an overview on the subject, that would be great!

The 3rd Edition of BSAVA Veterinary Nursing by Lane and Cooper (2003) has a large chapter on nutrition and for some nutrients its lists what effects excess nutrients have on the body. You might be able to get the book from the library - it is quite expensive to buy. Hope this helps!

With animals just like people, excess nutrients are filtered through the liver and the kidneys. Then the excess (which is waste- since they can't use it.) is excreted in the urine and the feces.

If you look up animal nutrition and excess nutrients, you will see that scientists have been worried about the effects of excess nutrients leaving animals via their waste, since it can wind up in the ground and leaching into the groundwater.

Good luck in your search.

Nutrients, vitamins, and minerals effect the body on a cellular level. Too much or too little of a good thing can be bad. What can it cause? All sorts of problems...you name it, it can be caused by nutritional issues. Moderation is key.
